Watching this game, I realize 2 things:

RE: Watching this game, I realize 2 things:
Brady was actually injured in the Giants Superbowl, playing on a bum knee/ankle on his planting foot. Not to mention his line failed so hard that game they should have been shot on the field.

On Topic: Yeah, I could see us playing them in the Superbowl, and they are probably the last team I would want to play in the Bowl along with the Steelers.

It would be a difficult win to get, but if they had to, it would mean they are in the Super Bowl.

So.....let's just hope they get a chance to take that challenge.

That's not the team I'd really like to see the Falcons play though.

Twenty offensive TDs in their last 4 games has me......impressed.

To be honest though, when you're in the Superbowl, you are only going to play the best or the hottest. Too late to be scared about the match-up then, because it's all or nothing and you're playing for keeps.

Agreed we can't worry about the Pats, if we get a chance to face them the hard part is over... All they gotta do if they get there is just play like their pants are on fire for 4 quarters.

Getting there is the battle, the game itself is nothing more than doing what you know you are capable of because you've proven it to yourself and the world.

And they were outcoached as well. Still with all that it took a last second TD to beat them, but I guess that's why they won their first 18. At least it shut up the old Dolphins players for the most part.

But I digress...

I have to admit tonight....I was rooting for a Patriots blow out.

Just can't stand the Jets and Rex Ryan.

Also think it is great that Woodhead had a nice game against the team that cut him.

There are two teams that absolutely scare me. The Eagles and the Patriots. The Eagles seem to have our number each and every time we play them and the Patriots have always made me feel like our team is a little brother to smack around. I don't want to see either of them.

I was @ the game with my husband and some friends and we got kicked out for standing up and yelling when the Pats had the ball! If you think Falcons fans are bad about asking you to sit down don't ever go to a game in NE.. I think the decision to kick us out was a little easier due to the Jets jerseys but sheesh the security people up there are a nightmare.

As far as the game.. You saw what Brady did to the Jets defense, I don't think BVG would have an answer for Bill B. Brady tore the Jets safeties a new one.

RE: Watching this game, I realize 2 things:
What I realized last night is.....

Wow! The Patriots can be impressive at times (think of the CLE game here) - They can be up and down too.

As I always thought the JETS are not a great team, good yes....and despite similarities between them and us with regard to late comebacks, I have felt very unimpressed by their play, it has been more of their opponent screwing the pooch.

I think we play to whatever level of competition we face (which can be dangerous), but the real truth at least in my mind is that when we play our brand of football, mistake free, low penalties (smart football), TOP game.....though I prefer the no huddle because we are much more deadly in that configuration, we can beat anyone on any given day.....and I like our chances. Are there teams I truly fear....not really. Are there teams I would rather play....absolutely. I think we bring the A game to the Superbowl....but even with home field we have some dangerous teams that we need to beat. Our team needs to focus on the game at hand and forget about looking ahead......

We SHOULD win against CAR X 2, SEA easily....that said they have to prepare like they are facing a do or die type situation and stay focused or we could easily be sloppy and lose one of those games....as for the Saints....Obviously winning would be great, but how many times has a team won 2 regular season games and got to the playoffs and lost to that team? Winning 3 contests against one team is difficult....so if we drop 1 in the dome (bites lip), I think it would not be that bad of a thing......that said I hate to lose any game to the Saints......

Since the merger, there have been 18 times when a team went into a playoff game with a chance to complete a three-game season sweep. Those teams are 11-7.

Got this off a post on the OMB. Original thread: http://life.atlantafalcons.com/topic/390...e-to-town/

Linus Caldwell: Are you suicidal?
Rusty Ryan: Only in the mornings.
