RE: WR Terrell Owens Still One Of The Best
it was funny watching TO and Ocho whine and yell at Carson Palmer individually.. Ocho is being more of a bitch than TO is.. Well, TO is getting the ball and Ocho isnt

RE: WR Terrell Owens Still One Of The Best
I don't think TO was complaining to Carson. I think he was merely discussing the issue. Clearly Carson made the mistake of throwing that ball. I don't know if the play was a timing route or not, but I think if it wasn't and Carson tried to throw it to TO at the last second, then TO had the right to ask him about it. Of course with how TO has acted in the past, it could be looked at like he was complaining to Carson, but given TO's performance last night, I don't see that as the case

RE: WR Terrell Owens Still One Of The Best
I tried to tell people T.O was still good and would be nice here with no distraction but people here are so concerned about bullshit its annoying. T.O or Moss would have been a nice option here. MM calling the right plays is what scares me though. With our talent we def need a better O and D coordinator. Why do we have Dunta a great man coverage CB in zone 10 yards back all the time?!?!?!

I have begun to think that Dunta's cushion to any receiver has something to do with him compensating for his hamstring injury rather than the scheme. For a physical corner you'd think he would want to jam at the line of scrimmage, but all season so far he has been in off coverage. I would understand this if he was a cover corner and was trying to get enough of a view for the receivers route and the development of what is going on in th offensive backfield, e.g. hand off, play fake or just qb making his reads, but that is not his style. Its quite confusing that he nearly gives up 10 yards in his cushion at times. |

RE: WR Terrell Owens Still One Of The Best
I don't see why people think being on the line and jamming the WR is the solution to every problem. Robinson got taken on a slant, the slant IS the anti-jam/press coverage route. Robinson simply took a bad angle. Maybe it was truly a bad play on his part, or his injury slowed him down there and he usually would make that play.
His problem hasn't been him playing off though. He doesn't seem to be flowing with the WR well. He's been getting turned around on the short patterns because he plays the deep route too quickly, and he's been biting up on the double moves. I don't see how man coverage would fix that. Maybe he's uncomfortable because he's just so used to playing in the WRs hip pocket, but our scheme is corner friendly if anything. He needs to quit trying to do too much and try to keep things underneath him. |

RE: WR Terrell Owens Still One Of The Best
I wasn't saying he should be jamming all the time. I just feel he is playing off more so than what I saw in Houston. I agree with all you said on jam/press v slant. But being closer to it has its pros. I do think he is yet to fully adjust to our style, but judging from his past and the receivers he had to go up against twice a year. I am confident a settled non injured Dunta, is going see our d upgrade even further than he already has. I know some do not seem to like what he brings but those qualities are often underrated in favour of ints. Said it before I like the Dunta Grimes pairing. Both do what they specialise in well.

There's a reason why he's played for 5 teams while Todd McClurre has played for one.

Everyone wants to bring up his drama filled past..Tell me what has he done that has been cancerous to a team since going to Buffalo? I can think of so many more players who are bigger divas than TO.

It doesn't happen 3 times by mistake. He's a problem, no matter how much you want to play up his Bills stint. |
