Vikings are poised to offer "high draft pick" for Vincent Jackson.
This is from Roto World.
Quote:According to Lee Hamilton of XX Sports San Diego, FOX Sports' John Czarnecki reported on Hamilton's radio show Wednesday that the Vikings are poised to offer "a high draft pick" for Vincent Jackson. God help us all if this is true.

They should have grabbed TJ Hoozyomomma when they had the chance. They could paid a vet minimum for him. Now they realize they need a WR and it's going to cost them heavily at this point.

So I guess know they are willing to give up a high draft pick for him.

They need to save that draft pick on a QB. How many times has Tavaris lost the job now? That rug is just going to keep being pulled. They need to let us pick him up (VJax, not Tjax) for a third rounder.

They really are scrambling to try and get this thing while riding on Favre's shoulders. Once he's done, they're pretty much done. Tavaris hasn't had game exp outside of preseason. He might be learning a thing or two from ole ironman but it's nothing like the real thing. One player does a team not make, but a mediocre QB only gets you all the way in certain exceptional circumstances.
This is my signature. |

I know it will be a bad idea to keep T-Jack but if you have Peterson/Rice/Jackson/Harvin/Shancoe/Berrian/Camarillo with that offensive line, you can start anyone back there and they will be a top offense.

There's definitely a level of truth there. With that much talent it is almost impossible to think that a flaccid O is possible.... I just cant see TJ being that good after sitting out basically two whole seasons. I'd stack 8/9 in the box, play man-man, and make them beat me with the deep ball. But it's all speculation at this point. This is my signature. |

Even if they do sign the guy, isn't it a bit too late?
I mean, even if they do sign him and even if he can play week 4, he isn't allowed to participate in anything until then right? He'd be this great athlete who isn't at all going to be down with Favre on timing, routes etc. By the time he is they'll have Rice back. |

Everything I am reading says that if this arbitration hearing goes well for Vincent, he is going to be a Viking.
