When they announced Kolb as the starter, Vick handled it very well. Based on performance I can't possibly see how you go with kolb. Like it or not, vick looks like he's back. Which could be bad news for the rest of the nfc.

Vick has earned the starting job. Also, this could be a pre-cautionary measure by the Eagles to not rush Kolb back out there after a concussion. Especially given scurtiny the league is facing when it comes to protecting the players after suffering concussions. While I absolutely think Vick deserves the starting gig, I think this falls more in line with Eagles protecting their investement in Kolb. Either way, Vick is the starter and has done what he has needed to, to earn it. Good luck to him until he faces the Falcons Big Grin

I heard Kolb was going to start too. hmmmm Confused Thier playing the jags and their defense will be better then any they have faced so far. So it will be a good test for Vick. Wink

Also, isn't Philly's O-Line hurting?

Just saw on ESPN in an interview with John Clayton. Apparently, this move is not injury related with Kevin Kolb. Andy Reid is doing a press conference, and has stated that he is rewarding Vick the starting job for his performance. I think Philly is facing a similar situation that the Falcons had when Vick was our QB. Yes Vick was good, but it was more of a mask of hiding how horrid our O-line was. You are correct. Philly's O-line is hurt, and if Kolb has already had a concussion, I would think they want to protect their investment and instill a scrambling QB to get out of the pocket. Just my opinion.

The ownership had to of intervened. Reid was dead set on starting Kolb yesterday. The press conference is on now on NFL network.

He also deserves a dog to bite his backside. I love it, another team already out of the playoff picture, in week 3.

Good for him.

As a Falcons fan, I longer have a vested interest in what becomes of him. But what appears clear is that, he's become a better man from his experience which has also translated into also being a better player. He's had to do this under a scrutinizing an unforgiving American public for the most part and it could have been easy for him fold up shop.

I don't wish him luck - he's on a rival now. But as someone who appreciates stories of complete reclamation, Vick appears to be be on his way to claiming his.

Might of been the best thing to happen to him.
Vick was humbled. Then made to earn his spot. Made to sit behind a better QB. Then earn and Take the starting position. If he had had to do that here he'd probably be the best in the league now.
