I'm one of them. Why would we give this former Falcon who disgraced the team his own forum here? That makes no sense. I'd rather delete threads all day, or move them to Frustration Island.

Now, that being said, there is something that is bothering me a lot. I've listened to his post-game conferences and other interviews and STILL, even now, all I hear from Vick is I, I, I, I. It seems he still has that it's all about me attitude even now. Maybe I'm just uber-sensitive to it, or maybe it is just my management training, but if you listen to the "leaders" in the NFL, guys like Manning and Brady and even going back to Montana - you never really hear the I word. It's "the O-line did a great job", X receiver was amazing today, Y runner was on his game. WE have to work harder, WE have to correct this and that. To be honest with you, it's one of the reasons I've been so impressed with our young quarterback. Leadership and motivation to the team seems to come natural with him, even at his young age and it's surprising.

When you listen to Vick, even now - it's I know I can do x and y. I just want to show what I can do. I blah blah I blah blah I blah blah blah.

I'm not saying it diminishes his ability to be a leader, I just want to see him take that final step and make it about the team - not about himself. Learn to make the others around you shine and improve yourself in the process. That's a leader. Leaders don't have to tell the world what they are about or what they are doing - the world can see it in what they do. I'm hoping he reaches that point - I'd love to see it.

There are a lot of this team's fans that still long for Michael Vick. Seriously, a lot of them. A small percentage of them even have a warped since that Vick was somehow wronged by the Falcons, and not the other way around.

If Vick ends up going farther in the playoffs than Matt Ryan this year, we are going to be revisiting conversations that I thought were long behind us, and that is very unappealing to me.

i agree but alot fo those conversations will be of the karmac variety. a lot of people gloated at the downfall of vick, and his biggest fans wont forget that.

At this point, I am rooting against him just so his idiotic die hard fans won't have a leg to stand on. Not the ones that just wish for him to do well, I'm talking about the real obsessed ones.

You know...

1. It was a government conspiracy to put him in prison.
2. Blank and the Falcons betrayed him.
3. Vick was great, it was just everything around him that made him not do well... he's better than Peyton Manning.
4. They're just dogs, who cares. (Insert red herring hunter reference here, or some other player that had legal troubles.)
5. Vick deserves to be a QB in the league, he's the mostest exciting players evar!

I just wish he had grown up BEFORE he had the troubles so he could be doing great for the Falcons, and we could see the excitement and potential on our team. True we wouldn't have Ryan, but if Vick lives up to his potential it wouldn't have mattered. The great shame is he always had the potential to be an incredible Quarterback in addition to being an incredible athlete but he would never take the personal responsibility to become what he could. Now he will probably be another Farve, in that he will have to leave the area/team for a chance to mature and become what he could. I just pray that if he becomes what he could, that Ryan also does the same, and they can battle like Peyton and Brady have in the past(with Ryan winning of course).

The one thing to remember is that this is the 10th season for him since his rookie year. This is Ryan's 3rd.

He is 30 years old and takes a tremendous beating every time he gets on the field, mainly because of the way he plays. He has been sacked 11 times already in 2 1/2 games. He has been non-sack hit over 20 times as a QB in those same 2 1/2 games - and I don't know how many times as a RB (meaning past the line of scrimmage).

He has a tremendously athletic body - but the human body can only take so much punishment before it starts to break down.

Seriously, if he continues to play the way he is playing - how long do you think his career will last? Just curious as to what people think.
