RE: Very polarizing draft pick
I think there's a fair amount of in-between. I'm somewhere in the middle, too. No matter what you think of Jones, it's still a huge gamble to spend all of these picks on one guy.

Just imagine a offense of WHITE, HANKERSON , Jenkins, Douglas, Kyle at TE

there were sooooooooo many other options ..You guys are getting caught up with the player think bout the possibilities of what we could have had if we didnt make that kind of bold move and made another one instead..

i see your points, really. all the predraft talk of baldwin, smith, young etc, the whole time i'm thinking no i want hankerson, i won't argue that point with you at all. I really liked the thought maybe we'd take hankerson. Ingram was still there at 27, maybe we'd have taken him? who knows. it is what it is, nothing we can do about it, and all the 'td is an ass, or td screwed the pooch' is ok i guess if that's what it takes for someone, but all we can really do is pull for the Falcons as their fans, or go pull for another team if we don't want to be a Falcons fan...it's really that easy

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

I didn;t like the pick.

then I saw this.

Pay attention at around 18 to 20 seconds.

I haven't seen an Atlanta receiver other than Roddy, and Finn do that in years.

I'm sold.

If you knew that for a fact, you wouldn't be sitting on your ass, bitching about it on an online message board.

So you are completely ignorant to the workings of the NFL, and don't believe anybody can ever be wrong? Let's keep our objectivity here folks

I'm not making declarative statements about what will or will not happen will this pick.

Worst case scenario, Julio Jones is a sociopath who goes on a killing spree at Flowery Branch.

Best case scenario, Julio Jones becomes a better version of Jerry Rice.

We can all play the game, and we aren't going to know for a few years. All I can make of it now is the potential impact or damage and the thought process that went into making the pick.

Characterizing it at this point as the second coming of a Ricky Williams/Herschel Walker trade by a desperate GM who flew off the handle for a WR is downright retarded.
