The Falcons gave up the most offensive yards they have ever given up in a game in franchise history in that game. Plaxico had 253 yards receiving and Hines Ward 139, and the Steelers had 645 yards of total offense with an insurance salesman playing QB.

Whoever was calling plays for the Steelers that day, that is who the Falcons need as OC.

In 2002 the Pittsburgh Steelers led by QB Tommy Maddox had one of the best performances by a duo of receivers in NFL history. Both Hines Ward and Plaxico Burress put up over 1300 receiving yards. In this same year, the Steelers tied with the Falcons in a home game. During this game, Tommy Maddox posted 4 TDs and 1 INT for 473 yards. Plaxico Burress posted 253 yards and 2 TDs on 9 receptions while Hines Ward had 11 receptions for 139 yards and a TD.

Mike Rene Mularkey was the OC for the Steelers from 2001 to 2003 before leaving to become the Bills HC.

And take a wild guess what defense we were running during that game.

LOL I thought we had pretty much covered all that in the thread but I guess maybe some people didn't catch on.

Wade Phillips 3-4.

That defense wasn't bad actually. Finished 8th in the league and the Falcons made the playoffs.
