UFA WR that Falcons need to sign - exactly what we need...Legedu Naane-Chargers
here are some snippets about him:

Legedu Naanee's potential is "almost limitless," according to beat writer Kevin Acee.

Naanee is the heavy favorite to be the Chargers' No. 2 receiver, but he's also the fourth option (at best) in the offense as Acee points out. Still, Naanee's talent needs to be recognized. He's a worth late-round flier in re-draft leagues and gets a boost for his sure hands in PPR formats.

Legedu Naanee-WR- Chargers Jan. 2 - 9:49 pm et

Legedu Naanee caught four balls for a team-high 79 yards in the Chargers' Week 17 win at Denver.

Naanee did most of his damage in the second half, and his two consecutive catches set up Ryan Mathews' second touchdown run. Naanee stepped up in 2010 to take a more prominent role in the Chargers offense, but injuries hindered his development. He finishes the year a free agent, but the Chargers should want to re-sign Naanee given his reasonable price tag.

Naane WIKI

G-Dawg Take:
For whatever reason (and I'm sure there is a reason), Naane has never really gotten a chance for extended playing time with the Chargers. However, I think he has great talent and maybe he just needs a change of scenery with the Falcons. He has speed and size and could play in Jenkins #2 spot or play the #3 in the slot. He has four NFL seasons under his belt in a prolific passing offense so he won't have to "learn the pro game" like most rookie WRs that sometimes take 1-2 years before they are up to snuff.

Bottom-line, I think this would be a great signing for Falcons as Naane brings everything you want - size/speed/explosion and versatility.

Pull the trigger on this one Dimitroff!!!

His numbers are worse than Jenkins and he's only a year younger. If you think thats a position we need to upgrade then find an upgrade.

Not impressed.

well, Jesus - you would be wrong......for the first time in 2,010 years - face it, you were overdue.

sounds like you have never even seen Naane play. There is no way his number would be better than Jenkins - Jenks has only gotten to play probably 5 snaps for every 1 snap that Naane has gotten.

Sounds like we could pick him up reasonable. Doesn't sound bad to me.

I think I rather have the FA Wide Receiver from San Diego who has already proven he can play.

Nanee was handed the #2 WR job in training camp, caught one long TD bomb in the first game, then failed to get open the rest of the season. I don't think he even saw the field again after week three or four.

I'd rather have Jenkins.

I've watched some Chargers games, and the dude may indeen be able to fly when running in a straight line, but he's very stiff...kind of like the guy we have starting at WR2 already. Even moreso probably.

Faster than Jenkins, but that guy changes direction like a Chevy Van with no tires at 75 mph over ice.

Phillip Rivers is no slouch and that offense gets EVERYONE involved. My money is on him having nice measurables, but doesn't translate them onto the field.

WRONG!!!! He got injured - not benched.....do 5 seconds of research cooper before wingin' it with your wild ass guesses....

Naane had some injury issues in middle of season - only played in 10 games.....was healthy at end of year and last game had 4 catches for 73 yards....
