1. I don't hunt nor does anyone in my immediate family. If they did I would let know I don't care for it.
2. The state failed to produce enough evidence to convict Anthony. So she is not in jail. The state had more than enough evidence to convict Vick. So he went to jail. It's been two years since he's been free deal with it.
3. I never mentioned his race. Why did you?

Do I dislike Vick because he's black? No, I dislike Vick because he set out to destroy the only sports team I truly love.

I personally could understand why Vick was steered away from Cincinnati, and towards Philly. Think of all the troublemakers in Cincinnati, and at the time calming influence of McNabb in Philly.

These are the crimes he was convicted and served for:

(Federal) Felony conspiracy in interstate commerce/aid of unlawful animal fighting venture (Title 18, USC, Section 371); (Virginia) Felony dogfighting, 3 years in prison and $2500 fine

According to the excerpts that were read on 680 this morning it's gonna get even crazier, especially on the other board. That's where Vick basically blames at least some of his problems on the falcons based on coaching and trying to make him into something he's not. He says he was looking forward to the petrino offense, tailored to his skill set and that he had already changed his focus to family and football. One quote went something like "if you didn't get caught would you have straightened things out" to which he replied "only if I was in philly".

Should be interesting when the article is out, I don't really take too much offense to it because it's exactly what I would expect from degenerate scum with a low IQ but I do plan to have the popcorn ready.

If this is true, then it shows how little Vick actually cared about Atlanta and Arthur Blank. He was given every opportunity in Atlanta and blew it. He would have only straightened things out in Philly? No, he only" straightened out" because otherwise he would never have played in the NFL again.

My friends and I have a saying, getting caught doesn't mean you'll change, you'll just get better at covering up.

The article is already out and that's the link posted at the very beginning of this thread.

I seriously doubt Vick does anything again to screw his refurbished life up. He may have a low IQ, but he's not an imbicile. He's an addict. But like many addicts, they crave their addiction, but never retreat back to it because the fear of losing everything outweighs the craving and gives them the willpower to keep from relapsing.

What I do see is him regressing athletically because living the high life will again become a priority over watching film and training/working out. You can't go to jail for being lazy. It might not happen this year entirely, but it'll be noticable eventually.

I don't think he's entirely remorseful over the death and mistreatment of the dogs. But I do think he realizes very much that his actions were wrong and he will continue to do things to repair his image up until he thinks he no longer needs a PR team and repairing anymore. Remorseful or not, he's acknowledged his addiction was wrong and paid a price for doing it. As long as he doesn't do it again, the guy is square with everything. He's just going to end up in the end being another pompous low IQ prima donna athlete like many others.

no you are NOT gonna compare my deer hunting, a LEGAL activity, to vicks thug dogfighting ways. and the JURY couldn't find enough evidence in the poorly prepared case against casey anthony to convict her, she's been found NOT GUILTY of killing a child. VICK on the other hand WAS FOUND GUILTY of BREAKING THE LAW.

i'm of the opinion that the vick NUTHUGGERS are the ones who need to STFU with THIER racism. and i'm not a racist at all, my disgust with MV has nothing to do with race, and everything to do with his actions. especially how he treated this team, it's owner and it's fans

RE: This story is a little disturbing....especially for people in Cincinnati and Buffalo
A few thoughts,

1. I don't usually agree with PETA, but if you can do to a puppy what Vick did, yes you are a psychopath, and no amount of jail time can redeem that. Serial Killers start out getting their jollies on animal torture. I don't think Vick should get a waiver because he spent a year in jail. Dude needs serious therapy. He's broken goods as far as I'm concerned. I'm not saying he should be banned from playing, but he doesn't deserve any admiration. It disturbs me how much of a pass he's gotten from the public.

2. I have zero respect for any Falcons fan that remotely even shows any respect, admiration, or anything positive to say about Michael Vick. He's pissed on the Falcons more than once, and just did again. He's basically making himself out a victim. Pathetic. $120 million contract is more than enough incentive to get your life together. Michael Vick is responsible for all of his woes and lack of success. Not the Falcons or the city of Atlanta. I'd love to ask that punk if he thinks Atlanta gave him herpes.

3. The Cincinatti / Buffalo issue is very disturbing. Maybe there isn't anything to it, but it concerns me that not only of a possibility that Goodell prevented Vick from signing to certain teams, but possibly kept the Falcons from getting compensation of a draft pick or a player for a team that would like have gotten the rights for Vick before he hit the FA market. This really needs to be investigated.

Its an animal not a human being. Dont act like Vick is Jeffery Dahmer. I swear some of you people overreact about nothing. He killed an animal served time, let it go. Its not your life and it aint your dog. Why are you crying? If you care so much about his dogs. Go and adopt one of them.If you didnt adopt one of his animals then you have no right to judge him. Based of you people's logic. Should blacks forgive white people for 400 years of slavery and being treated worst than dogs during Civil rights movement in the 60's? He without sin, cast the first stone.

Some people are the biggest hypocrites in this country i swear. Im a falcons fan only stating my opinion and yes Im black so if you disagree or dont like my post im sure you probably will bann me. [b] We shouldnt even be making threads on Vick anyway, considering hes on another team. We should be supporting the Falcons and the Falcons only. [b]

ok a couple of things, i'm not crying, and i'm not judging him for killing dogs. But i have a real good ability to understand what i read, and reading that article, he's lost that sense of remorse he was showing a year ago when he needed to show it to get back in good standing. now that he's got the big contract in the works again and getting the endorsements again, he's a changing his tune. that has nothing to do with race, that's ALL about how much a man he really isn't.

I'm a southern dude, and see people i know who fight dogs and cockfights and such. i don't participate, i don't condone it. YOU are the one who mentioned race in this thread, no one else did, and no just because i can ban you, i wouldn't ever ban someone for their honest opinion whether i agree or not. as for blacks forgiving whites for 400 years of slavery, what about the neighboring tribes who captured each other and SOLD the captives into slavery? i realize if there hadn't been buyers, it wouldn't have happened, but it would have just plain and simple been a case where they would have murdered the captives instead of selling them. I HATE what slavery did to this country, i never owned a slave, and as far as i've been able to run a family tree, no one in my family ever did either. i have so many black friends that i'm close to you couldn't even imagine. if you knew me at all, you'd know i'm the farthest from a racist there is

and actually this thread was started about how the NFL stuck their nose into his business, guiding him to philly and not really giving him the real free choice of where to go play, it wasn't started about his convictions

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

RE: This story is a little disturbing....especially for people in Cincinnati and Buffalo
So I guess Vick chucking his game film CD's in the backseat of his car, never watching any of them, showing up last to the gym/practice and leaving first, and going out partying instead of taking his job serious and getting prepared for games... that was all the "Falcons" fault and he wouldn't have been anything like this in Philly.

Riiiiiight.

I understand the ATL is a fun place to live it up if you got tons of coin to waste, but there's hot women in highend nightclubs, xbox, and the capacity to be a lazy punk up in Philly and pretty much everywhere else in this country too. It had nothing to do with anybody else but himself. He even admitted this in several interviews in the past. Now all of a sudden, it's not only his fault.

Does he not remember he did longwinded crybaby TV interviews that EVERYBODY saw where he admitted to being a lazy piece of shit?

Mark it, his spiraling regression into a lazy self-entitled waste of talent begins again soon. "But wow, those TWO years where he looked like the greatest ever! If only....". It's coming.
