There Are Some Real Dumbasses on the OMB

I have no problem with Vick's outstanding performance Monday night. It was a reminder of some of the things he did here and what he could have potentially been....it was fun and entertaining to watch.....but sweet Jesus does it bring out some real f***ing nutjobs.

I really don't care if someone is a Vick fan and still swears their allegiance to the Falcons. Those 2 things should be able to co-exist...

Where I do start to have a problem is when some of these self-professed Vick/Falcon fans start running down Matt Ryan. I can't see how those attitudes can co-exist.

If someone's affection for a player not on your team is so strong that it makes you run down the player on your team who plays the same position (and is doing one hell of a job by the way) then shit, maybe you should just go ahead and root for the team your favorite player is on.

Oh. Sorry. Guess we're not naming names here, my bad. Just first one that came to mind. Too bad there's many more. And I agree w/you. I LOVED Lawyer Milloy. But I don't feel the need to bag on Coleman, Moore, and Decoud just because I'm a fan of his. Same thing when Kerney left, ironically both to the same team. Nothing in me wants to be a Seahawks fan, but nothing in me wants to root against or criticize any of the players who took their places, either. Yeah, I don't get it.

That about sums it up for me as well, Vick was a Falcon, Vick was fun to watch as a Falcon and won games for us, Vick F%$ked up and is no longer a Falcon, we have started fresh in Atlanta and have one of the best teams and one of the best Qb's we have EVER had, Vick paid his due and has found his place with another team (Lord I DESPISE the Eagles) and is still exciting to watch, good for him and good for us right ?

Well bro I dont know why you expect anything will ever be different over there. I get checking in over there I work online all day and bounce in every once in awhile but I am here 5 times as much and rarely if ever post there. I have been a member there since 2003 and its always been more about MV than about the Falcons.

I just can't abandon the place. I have been thru ? 3 board changes there, but yeah this board is a nice calm place where your post won't get lost in a sea of crap.

I still post and read at both places. Gettin' better at weedin' thru the BS threads over there. I think this board is everything - and more - that the PF forum over there aspired to be. It's slower here, but I don't frequently read threads here that make me wish I could get those minutes back.

Plus, it's WAY better moderated!!!

Edit: btw, I don't think I even posted in, or if I did, I added very little to any of the MV threads that popped up after the Philly game. I wish dude no ill will, but I am not rooting for him (or the Iggles who I can't stand, but DO respect in some ways) either. Just where I'm at with it.

The mini mods ruined the OFMB, bunch of fucking lazy do nothing power hungry idiots. You complain about trolls, about the rating system not being used and the mods laugh at you and end up banning you. Those fucking mini mods have really devalued that board for years now and until this board came up it was a real fucking downer to go there for falcons stuff.

Those lazy shits need to be fucking replaced 6 years they have been mini mods there and they don't do crap but ban long time members and let trolls fuck up the place. It would literally take them 5 fucking minutes to ban the 2 or 3 hugely active Vick trolls which would immensely help the noise ratio over there but they are to god damn lazy stubborn and stupid to do it.

Oh but if you so much as step out of line and tick off a mod you get fucking ip banned. I fucking hate them for what they have done to that message baord.

That place was ALOT better around 2001 when the ignore feature actually made users posts and threads disappear and we only had one REAL mod.

I hate to say it, but let's be real for a minute.... 90% of the time its a race thing.. That said, he is fun to watch and i wish him well, unless we play him... he's gonna get paid huge again after this season.. he made good on his second chance
