The most overrated player on this team is...
Michael Turner

Before you throw stats at me, just know that we run the ball A LOT, and have a very solid offensive line and coordinator. That being said, how many people does Michael Turner make miss? None.

Turner's game consists of running slow, bouncing into the first guy he can find, and falling forward. Did you see how Pierre Thomas made THREE guys miss on ONE play alone to bring up that 3rd and inches to end the game?

We're all so used to the wins that we don't want to actually think we have a big problem, but sadly, I think we do...

The offensive line is not "very solid" , it is just slightly above average. I wish somebody would re-watch the game and see who got beat the majority of run plays. Either way, the OL is not built to establish the power run vs good defenses, period.

I get it. But even in open field, he's just bad.

I don't know, I think I would put Dunta, Jenkins, and Lofton over Turner.

I could not disagree with you more strongly, Turner is a beast. They were stacking the box but we decided to keep pounding anyway because it wears down the D and usually those runs start to break through.

This was another one of those games where I wish they would have let matt open it up a little more. But Turner is not over rated. Without him this year, our team would not be close to where we are.

exactly dude. if anything it just shows how ridiculous our playcalling is. as I said from the first game of the season, if we put Turner in the best position to run he's a beast. can't really be a beast running into 18 guys and the defense knows you're coming. this season has made me MORE of a Turner fan

Definitely most overrated. Not enough of a playmaker or play stopper. He would be better in a 3-4 I think, not that he's bad or we need to switch to one.

RE: The most overrated player on this team is...
My beef with Turner is he fails to even "try" to cut back on almost all plays... even tho' the alley is there for the taking to the backside.

My beef with MM is he fails to install this play in our base offense and utilize it. I see it week after week... but we don't make teams honor it. they just stack and flow to the initial direction knowing we won't cut it back. The old' HOG Redskins and Riggins used to slay teams with the "Counter trey"... and think about it. That offense style, and RB, was very similar to ours now.

Ugh.

I was mad when I made this thread. Turner isn't bad.. I just wish he was a bit for explosive. The whole offense wasn't hot last night so I'll reserve judgment.
