The Matt Ryan / Harry Douglas connection

RE: The Matt Ryan / Harry Douglas connection
HD has tougher throws going his way than anybody else on the team.

Most of the throws going his way was either deep, or out to the sideline that was hard to catch.

There's nothing going between them, its going to takes time to develop chemistry together, after all Harry was out last year.

Yep....he'll come along. Remember it took Roddy a while to get there. Hopefully it won't take HD as long!

3 of the 5 passes were deep.

Yet another reason why I would rather see HD in the slot running those inside routes & Jenkins or Finn on the wide running those outside routes. When your receiver is across the field & he's 5'11" going up against a 5'11" CB, you're not going to make the same throw as you would if your receiver was 6'5". But HD on the inside doing 5 step slants & in routes between LB's & he's 20 feet closer, the percentage goes way up.

I love HD, he is incredibly valuable to this offense. But he's being used improperly.

I think in a perfect world HD would be playing the slot for the Falcons. The only reason he's spent so much time playing on the outside these first 3 games is behind Jenkins has been out. He is our 2nd best WR (not counting Gonzalez) right now so it's mostly him and Roddy in the 2 WR sets right now. That will change once Jenkins comes back.

RE: The Matt Ryan / Harry Douglas connection
he overthrew Douglas on one, and the the other was a lil high and outside where only Douglas could grab it and he couldn't come down with it.

1 reception isn't enough from him, because he is a playmaker, but I think Tandy is right and we will see that connection bloom over time......

Hopefully soon!

I feel Harry needs to kind of step his game up, I'm sure he will but I'd rather he step up like Now than later ^__^
