So what you're saying is that we need an offensive genius to help develop our terrible qb. Tongue

LOL.....well.......no.

The truth is that Friedgen has never had much to work with. In his first run at GT, he took some completely average offensive players and developed an offense that was rarely stopped, and GT won the most unlikely National Championship in the history of college football.

In his second run, he had some better peices and developed one of the most dynamic offenses you will ever see and made a midget with a weak arm into a Heisman candidate.

The he made George Godsey look like Joe Montana.

I'd like to see what he could do with a QB as smart as Matt Ryan.

The Ice Man and the Fridge. Matt Spratt could eat no fat, his coach could eat no lean. Heh.

Meh. If Mularkey leaves, and this guy runs a balanced attack that is built around the run, then I consider it no less likely than Musgrave being our OC. I don't know why people just seem so AMPED about this guy(Musgrave)...

People complain about Mularkey running the ball and playing a dink and dunk passing game...

The WCO IS a tit for tat/dink and dunk offense by nature.

Seriously though, people want to knock Mularkey, but he is what this team wanted. As long as TD and Mike Smith are running the Falcons, we will always be a run first team.

We have the 2nd highest scoring Offense in the NFC, behind the Eagles.

Well I didn't start this thread as a knock on Mularkey. Just suggesting Friedgen if Mularkey moves on.

It's a natural progression really, Friedgen's offense has some of everything in it.

I think it is very doubtful that Mike Mularkey is getting a head gig......less than 25% IMHO...

I disagree that Mularkey is a tough sell to a fan base. Yeah he may not be flashy, but Mike Smith wasn't either when he came here from Jacksonville. I'm not saying that he is going to be a great HC, but he does have selling points.

-Head Coaching experience.
-Developed a young, star QB in Matt Ryan.
-NFL leading receiver.
-NFC leading running back.
-Took an offense to the playoffs that had several first year starters.
-*OC over a Superbowl winning Falcons team.

Maybe it's because I am in sales that I can see how he can be sold. I'm just saying that I would not be shocked if some team decided to make them their HC.

The thing working for Mularkey is that the head coach job he had before was shot do to poor management with the organization; he wasn't fired for sucking(he resigned).
