The Baltimore Ravens have reached an agreement on a contract with rookie OLB Sergio K
September 23 News and Notes

Ravens finally reach deal with second-rounder — 4:21 p.m.

The Baltimore Ravens have reached an agreement on a contract with rookie OLB Sergio Kindle, the team announced.

Kindle, selected in the second-round (43rd overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft, was the Ravens’ first-overall pick.

Kindle was hospitalized after falling down two flights of stairs prior to the start of training camp.

The linebacker will be placed on the Reserve Non-Football Injury list, which means he will not play this season. He is expected in Baltimore tomorrow to sign his contract, the team said.
The 6-3, 250-pounder finished his career at the University of Texas with 176 tackles (110 solo), 16 sacks (-116 yards) and 43 stops for loss (-166 yards). Kindle started 25 of his 46 games played.

That's a smart move because you know someone would redraft him next year just in the hope he gets back on the field
