Patriots have always been my third favorite team, it's the Falcons, then the team who's playing the Saints, then the Pats.

To address a couple of things:

I want the system to stay. It's a way of letting users know that you either agree with their posts or don't. Maybe there is a different rep system we could use. Since people like to be unbelievably childish about the negging wars(just last night I had to go to 4 seperate accounts and delete neg war ratings). You guys honestly need to really grow the hell up. This is a place for mature people, not a bunch of kids running around crying about some rating. For those who engage in the neg wars, I will tell you this. I am about tired of it, and I hope Phocis reads this because I am suggesting that the next neg wars, BOTH users get banned for at least a week. Then further instances will result in harsher punishiment.

As far as the ratings go, just because a user has a negative number, wether it's 30,70 or whatever if they are not breaking the rules we set forth on AFT then they will not be banned. To go along with this, we will be adding a rule in (if the rep system stays) about multi-accounting. I know who you are. It needs to stop. If you say something and someone negs you, take it and move along. Don't get butt hurt because someone doesn't see eye to eye with you. This forum isn't always going to be rainbows, unicorns, and happy places. Opinions are welcome no matter how ridiculously crazy they are. More variety of opinions leads to more discussion.

love ya ta death hart, but you're saying i should get punished for his retalitory negging of me? that's just not right. if that's the way it would be then i'd say just do away with the whole system.

i like the way we can feel free to express opinions here. i rarely give negs, it has to be something real offensive to me to do that.

i will say tho, i even went back and plussed him for having the balls to publicly admit he deserved the heat he took after saturday night.

Don't agree with this. Not saying to ban people for not having positive opinions, but there are certain people that like to stink up the place with blatantly inflammatory and nonconstructive posts that just barely tow the line. Throw that in with attention whoring and IMO, some people should just be dealt with.

It is very easy to be a jackass inside the rules and get away with it. That is one of the weaknesses of the AFMB, and that shouldn't be a trap we fall into.

No, no...What I am saying is I had to deal with 4 people who neg repped each other like 7 times in a row back to back. Shit like that is what I am talking about. Now, if you neg rep someone and you let them know why you did it, and the explanation is not just "You're dumb", and they come back and throw 4-5 negs your way with no explanation why. Then they will be the ones paying for it. I'm just saying, if someone negs you, don't retaliate. Point blank. Pay attention to your rep and if it drops like 4 times in a minute or two, go check it out and report it if one person has done it 4 or 5 times and the mods will handle it.

ok gotcha.... i remember once before this was discussed, maybe just the ability to plus someone as far as reps go, and posts (that are within the rules of course) for the ones we don't agree with.....could that work?

I could care less. I'm not very active at AFMB anymore, except for the college and ABF forums, and I've got like a positive 92 rating there, despite alot of random negging lately, apparently someone there has an E-beef with me.

However here, I've only got a positive 3 rating. I don't have nearly as many posts, but that will change as I post here the majority of the time now. Anywho, the point of comparing the two numbers is I think the rating system here is still arbitrary - I'm pretty sure I've posted more than three posts of intelligent, thought-provoking football discussion but it's not reflected in the rating system. So, I could care less if it stays or goes.
