I enjoy receiving a positive - it tells me I clicked with somebody who shares my interests, never mind that we've probably never met and probably never will. And I enjoy giving a positive for the same reason. I haven't given a negative and don't see the need on this board, unlike that other one we all know and love. The only reason I can conceive for giving a neg is if somebody went personal/extremely tasteless/obscene or whatever (like the TATF guy who called me a child molester yesterday and wouldn't survive here for ten minutes), but the Mods here ride a pretty tight herd on that anyway.

To sum up, keep it. It's essentially meaningless but in my opinion does more good than harm.
