I wonder how much of a run first team we will be now. The team can effectively field a decent 4-5 WR set now. If GB and NO can win without RBs we can give it a shot.

I never bought into the too many carries theory but it seems like it might be true. I just get tired of watching 23 runs for 2 or less yards and a couple long ones. Remember those old metal football games that vibrated and all the players would jumble up into a pile going nowhere? Thats what turner reminds me of sometimes. In open space he is a monster which really makes his weakness in the passing game that much worse.

Our dink and dunk offense relies on a strong running game. I dont see it going anywhere, although our attack will hopefully be a little more balanced.

It was impossible to control. After awhile you get rid of the players and try to vibrate weird stuff.

They have gotten alot more elaborate from my day:

he may not catch lot of balls but he is hell of a pass blocker--reference his demolition of ray lewis last year. turner, imo, is still a top 10 HB in the league. He has been overused tho and could wear down at any time.

i should have clarified when i said passing game, i meant strictly as a receiver. yes hes more than adequate as a blocker and hes still one of the better backs in the league. he should have a better year now that we dont have michael jenkins and harry douglas double teaming 1 defender. lol

RE: TD's thoughts on the draft.
Turner is pretty awesome he does not have the burst he had in 2008 but he still had a really good year last year and in 2009 before he got injured he was destroying teams. Before he retires he is pretty much going to own every single RB record for the Falcons he already has alot of our records in 2.5 years. If Turner does slow down it will be because we ran him to much and not because of a lack of effort. Even when ge does slow down he will still be pretty good on the goal line.
