Dimitroff: This isn't about draft or free agency; this is about where the best investment is. Dimitroff: Need to continue to ramp up the pass rush. No question about it, we need to become more explosive on offense. Dimitroff: We have to try to attack every portion of the field. Need to continue to try to turn Harry Douglas into good slot receiver. Dimitroff: Ultimately, it's Mike Smith's call on who to hire if Mularkey leaves for Tennessee. Dimitroff: Too early to pull the plug on Peria Jerry. He's still healing up. It's a two-year injury. We're looking for legitimate production Dimitroff: Falcons focusing on free agency as if it will happen when scheduled this year. |

TD is on 680 now.
The Don recap from other thread Recap... - TD is ready for FA and won't let the CBA situation hinder his decisions... - He won't say whether he WILL get an impact FA, or go heavy draft this offseason. Basically, he won't tip his cap... - We need to ramp up the pass rush. Need production from Biermann and other guys. He liked the pressures from Biermann and other guys so he thinks we're close.. - We NEED to be more explosive on offense. Said we may need to add explosive pieces to the offense... - We need to attack every portion of the field(middle, left, right) on offense.. - TD wants to get HD the ball and get him more involved(mentioned a role similar to Welker in NE) - If we need a OC, it will be Smith's call on who will be that guy... - TD likes the WR and DL class in this draft... - Do NOT pull the plug on Peria Jerry. It was a significant knee injury. TD ADMITTED that the Falcons down played his injury. They are expecting big things next year from him.. |

Dimitroff: I would not have been comfortable sitting out in Hawaii last week. We have too much work to do. (Went to Senior Bowl instead)
Dimitroff: We thought it was a good season with a bad ending. First game in three years where there was doubt at halftime. Bad day for us. Dimitroff: Very good offensive tackle group at the Senior Bowl. Very deep. Good WRs and RBs, too. |
