I should clarify -- I don't think atheists and agnostics necessarily find fault and sling mud. My agreement was with the fact they tend to study more. I know a lot of atheists who are comparative religion majors, for example. They tend to have broader knowledge of various religious beliefs and customs, but the knowledge tends to not be very deep.

I should read more carefully and detail more carefully what I agree with and what I do not. My apologies for that.

Agreed. The proselytizers are also typically the least informed.

Religion is for the dogs, but that higher being will be forever.

I'll just add this one comment and then I'm done (admining a football forum here, not TBN).

It takes one moment in someones life to truly believe. That moment cannot be manufactured, nor can it be planned for. It just happens and it happens in a specific way for each individual. Some people are ready to listen at that moment, others are too busy or just don't care.

I had a moment when I was 15 years old and it nearly scared the crap out of me. I tell those that are interested in it what happened and some people are like "wow", others not so much. But then you can hear about someone elses moment and it is completely different.

Get what I'm saying?

I'm not trying to convert anyone on here. I respect what people believe (right or wrong). Everyone has a right to seek the answers in their own ways. All I can do is give my experiences as my point of view.

And for the record, the "Christians" being the loudest are the ones getting the attention. Seek the quiet and humble ones and you'll find more honest answers.

Nicely put.

I scored 13/15, which was 93 percentile. I missed the two questions which were essentially on Christian history.

Did you even blink at the Jewish sabbath question? I knew better -- it asked when it STARTED, not which day it was. And being entirely fair, technically by Jewish reckoning, after sundown on Friday IS Saturday. But the way it was worded threw me.

Orthodox Christians use Jewish reckoning to this day in their calendar. If a particular feast day follows on a Wednesday, and if we hold an evening service to celebrate it, it falls on Tuesday night (evening Vespers being the first service for the following day). I kicked myself for missing that question.

I am not the most religious person and I don't try to be but I do believe in God and Jesus and I love them very much. I don't go to church or anything like that. I just say my prayers, read my Bible everyday, and try to watch my actions and thoughts.
