RE: Superfan's Cartoons Fired
I can't wait...ten years from now I will answer the AFLAC Trivia Question: "Who was the only player to ever actually receive the Hick'ry Stick Award from the team?"

RE: Superfan's Cartoons Fired
Son of a bitch. What a damn shame. The worst of it is this:
1. He was summarily fired. WTF? They could have stuck to their guns without just flat firing the guy. Seems pretty damn autocratic. 2. They also threw the Hickr'y Stick out the window, for no reason. That was going to be a very special thing that likely would be emulated through the NFL. Some power-happy bureaucratic idiot did this. What a shame. |

Falco is just perpetuating the stereotype that falcons hit things with hickory sticks. And to think I let my kids get their pictures made with them at Six Flags!

RE: Superfan's Cartoons Fired
They better fucking fire Smitty too. He's not going to stand up there in front of the players and be a pussy, I guarantee you that. Toughness is what he's all about. Hell, he almost tore D-Halls nuts off (if indeed D-Hall has any nuts).

RE: Superfan's Cartoons Fired
For the record, people, there was no copyright infringement. If I had started a whole new thing using Calvin and Hobbs as an ongoing thing, THAT would have been infringement. Their problem with me was not infringement, but rather too much whack in the smack. It came out of the blue, but that's ok.
"Pick the hill you die on!" Right, Gritz?

RE: Superfan's Cartoons Fired
I just don't understand how people can be offended by stuff like this. However, I do understand that the AFO has to stay nit picky to not offend someone because of the possibility of a lawsuit over hurt feelings. Feelings cost a lot of money it seems.
Hick'ry stick was probably terminated because it has a country theme to it. Country people are rednecks. Rednecks are racist. :/ That is a PATHETIC assumption as you can't classify a group of people a certain way, but are they classifying the stick as racist? Maybe, I don't know. I just don't know. I'm not racist. I know people that are. I know that people that a racist look at everything from the "other side" as being derogatory. Maybe this person that told you not to share the Stone Mountain artwork to Smitty was thinking how it might be portrayed as being racist and they were just protecting the organization. One sure would hope that is the case, however, it seems this person didn't like Falco and the Hick'ry stick in the first place. BTW- I'm not trying to start a race discussion by any means. So don't think of it that way.
