Steve Slaton
A thought for this offseason for me is to somehow aquire Steve Slaton from The Texans for cheap.
He had a stellar rookie year in 2008 but dropped in 2009 The Texans have virtually given up on him and he is the 3rd back behind Foster and Ward and when Tate comes back, Slaton will be the odd one out. He look veeeeery promising in 2008, if he can learn to hold on to the ball and get in better shape, he could be a weapon. I feel if given another chance he can get back to form and he will come at aa low price at this point. We need a speed back and Id seriously consider him Plus I have his jersey

RE: Steve Slaton
You never know. He could just need a change of atmosphere. Currently looks like his confidence is shot and a trade could make the difference. Blew my mind when he fell apart after that great 2008 season. Texans have really scored with running backs in the past few years. I mean Slaton bombs and you have Foster in the waiting? LOL how nice is that. Of course as a team they suck...

RE: Steve Slaton
Good call. I bet he'll be back somewhere. He could improve with weight room work.

RE: Steve Slaton
Yeah, ball handling issues are something that can be worked on and fixed. I love how he ran in 08. If anything, he would be worth a look. I wouldn't be surprised if he got cut in the offseason. I imagine Houston doesn't feel like holding on to that salary anyways.
This is my signature. |
