Starting Fast!
We've got to get back to starting fast. In 2008 when lead the NFL in points scored in the 1st quarter with 114 or 7.1 ppg. In 2009 it dropped off to 78 points or 4.9 ppg. This year we've scored a total of 14 points or 2.8 ppg. in the 1st quarter. Until we get that turned around we will continue to have nail biters on our hands. And BTW when we've scored in the 1st quarter we've scored 41 points and 27 points. When we haven't we'ved scored 9, 16 and 20.

Excellent point there Tiger.....

We used to really get out of the gate strong....

This season it has been like the team is suffering from a collective Saturday night hangover and doesn't start to wake up until well into the 2nd quarter.....

Our defense would be even better if we got back to our 7.1 1st qtr ppt.

Imagine the interceptions we'd get if teams were consistently down 7,10 or 14 early!

I know playing from behind is killing us. Our Offense is NOT designed to function that way.

AND WHOEVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SPECIAL TEAMS NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OUT BACK AND SLAPPED! Our coverage SUCKS! And this is KILLING us also.

And in 2008 we set the NFL record for fewest punt yards given up in a season! Go figure!Sleepy
