Some Random Thoughts and Some P Words
Our D held what I perceived as one of the best scoring Offenses to 17 points. Which would be well below their average. Of course I have been too lazy to look at stats for a while so...

On the other hand our Offense scored 20 on a D that I perceived as pretty good right now. We made a couple of drive killing penalties that cost us more points. Again just throwing shit out there with no statistical research. My perspective.

Good teams play for 60 minutes and keep themselves in games. Two teams did that today and the better team won at the end because we could not be stopped. I mean that is what I saw happen from my perspective.

Our O is phucking good. They are very good late. Our D is pretty good at not giving up tons of points and that is not nothing...and they get some turnovers. Our special teams have not screwed anything up too bad lately.

We are making most of our luck through preparation, perseverance, and purpose.

I was way to effing hard on Matty Bryant early on. Turns out pre-season don't matter for kickers either. [ don't worry I knocked on wood]

I was a little surprised how much GB shut our passing game down. I was especially surprised at the sacks that Ryan took, when he could have just chunked the ball out of bounds.

I'm not sure if he could have chucked all of those plays out of bounds... Specifically on those plays, the OL collapsed in less than 2 seconds. The pass rush was upright and had hands up. Taking a sack could have been better than chucking blindly into coverage. Keep in mind it was just the front 4 and the rest dropped back into coverage...

I think he did the right thing in protecting the ball.

The pass game didn't get shut down. Sure he didn't have a 300 game but he completed 86% and all his throws were important throws moving us down field. We don't need Ryan to win games with his arm, though he can. We are a much more complete football team than that. If they shut down the passing game than we would not have won.

Matt escaped a lot more sacks than he took. GB can get some pressure on a QB.

Matt continues to progress in his ability to move in the pocket.

And Rodgers is one of the most under-rated QBs in terms of his mobility, mostly because his strong and accurate arm overshadows his ability with the legs.
