RE: Pro Bowl... 5 stars
(01-31-2011 11:32 AM)Swift Is a Die Hard Wrote: Its not the consistency ..Its lack of arm . Lack of touch and accuracy and poor mechanics . He lobs ball up in air . and when he needs to make a long 30+ throw playoff game and is late he doesnt have the zip or balls behind it to get it in that window . He lobs ball off back foot ball stays in air way to long . He also over compensates his lack of arm by trying to put air under ball thinking it will go further or drop and in all reality it doesnt work like that in the NFL ..maybe college but most corners and safety's get back in position I find your comment on touch and accuracy ridiculous if anything he is more touch and accuracy and not enough power/ aggression. I agree he needs to bulk up but from year 1 to now go back and look at him, they have already been doing that, and will continue to. As far as loft is concerned I think his loft gets away from him at times, but were he to take your low ceiling approach a lot of passes that he made would be picked off. Again here is where consistency is an issue, knowing when to use what throw. You wan't to drop that fade ball in, throwing it with a low ceiling it will stand a bigger chance of getting picked. On the one where Jenkins slipped considering a force out would have stopped a TD, he should have put a low ceiling on it to get it there quicker (and he has done that this year) considering Jenkins had won and Williams at that point had his back turned. |
