Some Funny Topics on the Saints Board

RE: Some Funny Topics on the Saints Board
I just thought Mularkey called a very average game today, but Ryan bailed him out by being almost perfect on 3rd down conversions. I mean, Mularkey was really as predictable as ever today in my opinion, and Ryan just overcame it.

I mean, how many of those damn rollouts did we see today? They work like 20% of the time, and Mularkey still calls them.

The clock would have continued to run or the Saints would have had to burn a TO. We ended up stopping the clock with a incomplete pass. I also wish we would have called a TO to ice Hartly when he was going for the tie. We had 3 TO's left and I dont know why we didnt use one.

I agree we should have run the ball then too.

But I think we didn't ice the kicker on that one cos we usually try to ice kicker fairly often, so we tried to surprise him by not icing. If you follow my thinking.

Not trying to pin them back as far as possible at the end of the fourth though was the only call I really didn't like. I could see some logic and reasoning in them but not this one

I'd like to see some run stats 1st half vs the 2nd half. I think they were doing fairly well at stopping the run early on. Their defense just got worn out, cause we kept the ball for long drives. Least it seemed that way.

And for the same reason -- it's easy to convince yourself a team isn't that good ("Steelers were playing their 3rd string QB...." "Falcons lost Norwood and their defense is suspect, plus Matt Ryan is regressing.....") than that YOUR team isn't that good and really met another team that had it's number.

I love it. I think the Steelers should be the favorites to win the SB this year, so I don't mind that loss. Wonder what the Saints think about losing to us after talking about how Payton and Brees have "dominated" us? How quickly they forget that both games last year were winnable by us, including the one our 2nd string QB started and finished.
