RE: So, what should Dimitroff do?
Abe has disappeared in the final 5 games of the past four seasons.

Well that's the thing, Abe left the Jets, because he hated the 3-4 and if we went that way. Probably the same thing would happen, and he would either go to another team or retire. But I doubt there are a lot of teams that would get Abe, because hes damage prone and to have a part time DE, or even shifting him to linebacker is not worth it. Bierman could be shifted to a OLB, Babs could be a DE and we have a lot of players that could play the 3-4. It just so hard to find players that are good DEs for the 4-3. Sad

Whether we want to admit it or not this team is on the decline.

Gezuz dude. Go be a whiny bitch somewhere else. Really tired of your ridiculous exaggeration and dumb as fuck analysis.

Nicholas is a great OLB. We are set at OLB for quality starters. May need some depth. Not a big deal.

DT is not bad. No team has pro bowl superstars at every position and that's what you're trying to suggest we must have. We are fine at DT.

Dunta is not gone. We have a decent starting 3 at CB with Dunta, Asante, and McClain. We need some depth here but that's about it.

#3 WR is least of our concerns. We have some very young WRs kept on the roster for a reason.

We need a DE, RB, and TE. And likely an OL to replace whatever happens with McClure/Konz situation.

That's not hard to do. This draft is LOADED with all 4 of the things we need most. Especially DEs, RBs, and TEs. And as usual we'll pick up a couple good vets in FA. Likely an OL or ILB and draft the others.

Stop going overboard with your crap. You're nowhere close to reality.

DE is our biggest need. We need pressure. No more projects lets get someone who can play.

I agree its not on the decline, we have a good nucleus and I think it would be better at 3-4 then to keep doing the 4-3. We need sacks and disruption, we had one sack. Our O-line played great, but the D-line, sucked to be honest. 1 sack and its been that way the whole year. No push. They have to fix that. Angel

cmon man ..Nicholas is a good OLB but he was not as good as pass coverage as Boley was ..Boley was much better in pass coverage and he was thrown away . They are similar LBS good overall but not great

Spoon was also exposed in pass coverage...wonder will we run him out of town like Lofton

I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . Don't take me seriously until year 2413 .

Nicholas lead a 4-3 team in tackles, also has 2 sacks, an int, 4 passes defended, and 2 forced fumbles. There's only about 6 or 7 4-3 LBs who had better stats and tackles than that and most of them were ILBs. The rest of LBs who had more are all 3-4 and of course are going to get more tackles.

Nicholas had an excellent season for us. Like I said, your analysis sucks.

Nicholas is not a great OLB, but he is very good. He would be better in the 3-4. He has the talent to rush the passer and he can drop back into coverage. I would draft an OLB to develop behind him and Bierman but my main focus, for the defense, is to find a NT.
