So, what should Dimitroff do?
This is a good team, a very good team. Let's not lose sight of that. And, if you look at the roster, our needs are relatively easy to address. We do not need a starting QB, a star WR, a LT or a CB.
On offense, we need a star RG and a replacement RB and TE. Of course, we will not replace Tony Gonzalez, but we can add a good, solid TE. We will certainly draft an upgrade to Turner. I respect what he has done, but he is past his prime. As far as the RG goes, we can go with a free agent or spend a high draft pick on a very good prospect. On defense, we need a very strong NT to free up the LB's to make plays. We can find such a NT in the third round of this draft. This game is tough. Very tough. Winners never quit. I believe in this team. They will overcome. |

RE: So, what should Dimitroff do?
1 playoff win in 5 years is not a bright spot on his resume that is for sure.
We need play makers on defense Spoon was exposed all season in pass coverage. Need a star defensive end . Not much we can do ..our draft will be defense influenced and a TE or starting rb ![]() I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . Don't take me seriously until year 2413 . - Added by Phocis because of this post. Warned here. Do not remove. |

RE: So, what should Dimitroff do?
we need a RG, a TE, a 3rd WR, a RB, a DT, 2 DEs, am OLB, a MLB, and a nickleback (assuming Dunta is gone and Grimes takes his hobbit ass somewhere else)
Whether we want to admit it or not this team is on the decline. |

RE: So, what should Dimitroff do?
Two LB's would go a long way in fixing the D. An OLB that can cover TE's and a MLB that can stop the run and we'd see way better results. That would free up Spoon to blitz and make plays. Getting Ed Reed wouldn't hurt either...

Look at your list: RG: One of the easiest positions to draft. Draft a RT that is a mauler....done. TE: Surprise, this draft is full of them. 3rd WR: We have two good guys that are developing. Personally, I think that Davis will be our next big target. DT: Yes, we need to draft a good NT. We will find one in the third round. DE's: Face it, we will move towards the 3-4. Hybrid, sure, but mostly 3-4. MLB: No, we have Spoon and Dent. They will man the ILB positions. OLB: This is where the draft comes into play. We need to find one more, to compliment Bierman. We have options at CB, but I am thinking of Nolan's penchant for "Big Nickel" sets. I am thinking of another FS. This will be reflected in my mock drafts, leading up to the draft. This team is not on the decline, it has been rebuilt from the ashes left behind by Petrino and Baby Mora. Maybe teams like the Cowboys, Eagles, Saints, Jets, Packers, and Patriots are in decline, but not the Falcons. Hang in there Aftermath. |

But that means going to the 3-4 we have most of the players and the best DC that could do it, but we need a huge DT. The draft will tell a lot, but if that happens, Abe will probably leave because he hates the 3-4.

RE: So, what should Dimitroff do?
Dimitroff needs to get more national exposure for the team. San fran baltimore NE GB all get tons of ads and exposure. Money makes the nfl run. Underdogs don't sell merchandise. Up our exposure and Goodell will put us in next year.

There is a good chance that Abe will leave regardless of who we draft. We can not afford to pay a part time pass rusher more than $4million/year. |
