Maybe they should just issue nets to the DBs so they can gently wrap the WRs up in the net rather than hit them when they have a clean shot.

Agreed. And if you watch that play at Full Speed then you can see that Dunta made a great play. Dunta is a physical CB, he has always played like a Safety. And he was already within 3 feet of the receiver and had no chance to pull back. There was no helmet-to-helmet contact - it was just a hard hit, and that is what FOOTBALL is supposed to be.

I got so pissed when that yellow flag came out.
What sucks is it looked like Dunta got a concussion from that. Which the NFL is being very strict about now, so he might not get to start next week.

I had actually taken that channel out of my favorites for it's mostly worthless drivel. Thanks for the heads up on that programming. Wink

We are talking about probably the meanest, dirtiest, lead with the helmet safety that's played football in my lifetime, who obliterated more "defenseless receivers" than anyone, and NOW he thinks those types of plays should be penalized with suspensions.

Funny Rodney. Very funny.

what's funny is, he led with his shoulder pad, and Jackson had the ball... It wasn't like he cleared him out on an uncatchable pass.

My step-dad is diehard Eagles fan and lives in Philly with my mom a Falcons fan. He called me right after the play and said it was a bullshit call. This is an Eagles fan with his best WR laying on the ground, admitting it was a bullshit call.

Rodney was one of the dirtiest hitters in the league, how ironic he would take such a strong stance

Best thing about it is Deion Sanders is the one guy I have heard that said it was a clean hit http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highl...highlights I never thought D.Sanders would be correct when it comes to a tackle and R.Harrison is not

I believe he is protecting his position. It was a clean hit. However, we saw what happened and the league needs to protect against that. What if Jackson was Roddy?

I want to know why NBC keeps calling it helmet to helmet when there is an angle that clearly showed it wasn't.
