Smitty's press conference on Tony G. injury status
On TE Tony Gonzalez’s injury status after leaving the game Sunday:
“I think we’re going to be in pretty good shape. Tony could have gone back in the ballgame if needed be. Fortunately, we were in a four-minute situation where we were only going to be running the football when we had an opportunity for the offense to go back on the field we felt it was in our best interest to hold him out in those situations. We could run our four-minute offense without him on the field.” Great news and looks like Smitty is coming out of his shell a lil bit...lol |

If you believe anything Smith says regarding injuries you are deluding yourself.

Well I guess I do in this instance...in all of the injuries he has never said once that a certain injured player could've gone back in and played. Actually I lied, the last time he said this was the first time Spoon got injured and Spoon was back the next game, until he got injured again. |

given the bunker mentality that Falcons have on injuries - that Smitty would come out and disclose so much about how Tony could have come in and played makes me suspicious........things that make you go "hmmmmmm........"

RE: Smitty's press conference on Tony G. injury status
offense moves better without Tony G we just need him for 3rd down situations and goal line .. Im a fan of Peele and I think he has better speed to attack middle of field ..Tony G is old reliable . I say rest him next 2 games or play him in spot duty we need him for the stretch run .
I really hope Snelling is ok and back soon to give Turner a breather ![]() I'm delusional from our playoff loss against GB . Don't take me seriously until year 2413 . - Added by Phocis because of this post. Warned here. Do not remove. |
