My fiance is currently in Chicago (I'm trying to get a job there as well) and last night, while we were talking on web cam, she mentioned that their was apparently a big football game their this weekend (she doesn't follow sports). Luckily she didn't get pissed when I flipped her off... |

In fact, I'm DONE watching football for the season as I don't like any of the teams left playing. Waiting patiently on NASCAR to get here and doing a lot of projects around the house to fill the void where Falcons football was.

RE: Smitty miked up on Inside The NFL
Thinking about it after a while, and this video also made me realize something else, unfortunately that is. . .
I believe the players prepared for the game properly, and enough, but now I am beginning to think that our coordinators didn't spend enough time preparing, or they didn't prepare properly for the game. You shouldn't be in the game, with a spread out Packers offense (Which they run quite often) and asking to figure out ways to stop them. They should have some ideas and different things to try, and they didn't. So who's to blame on that one?

I had to close it out after Coach threw his stuff down after the Tramon pick-six. As much as people tell me it's just a game, that entire day was an emotional wreck for me. I honestly don't think I could watch it again.

Smitty to Ryan: "Hang in there, buddy. We'll learn from it."
Heartbreaking. |

RE: Smitty miked up on Inside The NFL
All that did was remind me of how excited and pumped I was at the beginning of the game.....then the Weems return and I was going nuts.....then the pass before halftime. After that I met up with my friend Sailor Jerry and I don't remember much after that!

They probably thought they could roll in there and get an automatic win b/c they were the #1 seed...... You don't win 13 games by not preparing your team. These are professional coaches that spend more time analyzing film, scheming, and preparing a game plan than any of us will ever know. Hell, when high school football season rolls around my wife gets pissed b/c she knows she will not see me for the next 3 months. It was a shitty game. Shitty games happen. Also, GB has coaches too and they had a QB that executed the shit out of their game plan. But to say our coaches were not prepared isn't fair man. Coaches put in so much time, and I can't even think how crazy you have to be to put in the time commitment in the NFL. Things like this happen. Teams catch you by surprise and make big plays. Just b/c he's talking to BVG about ways to stop them doesn't mean he's not prepared. They are just trying to figure out their next move....which was more than likely blitzes that "got there" but we didn't make the play. Sorry but I'm a coach and I don't think people realize how much time is spent preparing for a game.
