Never was. I think there is probably a reason guys like Ray Lewis looked up to him with a passion. You don't get to 10 Pro Bowls and voted 1st team All-Pro unless you're doing something very right... oh yeah, and DPOTY twice. His HCing skills... not looking to be HOF material. |

Singletary is getting no respect from his players. They are in complete disarray. I wouldn't be surprised if a coaching change happens when they go 0-6.

I don't like Singletary not shaking hands at mid field but let's don't start talking nonsense about a HOF player let alone taking more pathetic shots at a former Falcon great.

RE: Singletary Chooses To Not Shake Smith's Hand
Look, I get it, I know it hurts. Losing the way they did, going to 0-4, and losing altogether is terrible. Plus if anyone has ever played a sport, the last thing you want to do is congratulate the dude that beat you, ESPECIALLY when you put so much of your effort and emotion into the game. You're only human. However, being a coach you just can't do what Singletary did. All week you tell the players, "Don't let your emotions get the best of you, have discipline." All Singletary accomplished with that is he looked like a hypocrite when he had a chance to show an example for his team. I don't think it's important that he apologizes to Mike Smith, moreso that he apologizes to his team for the way he acted.

RE: Singletary Chooses To Not Shake Smith's Hand
I watched Singletary's post game interview and he gave a lot of props to Mike Smith. I hope he had other reasons for not meeting him for the handshake but it definitely wasn't to disrespect him.

RE: Singletary Chooses To Not Shake Smith's Hand
I haven't read through the entire thread, but has anyone seen verification that this is even true?
edit - well I see Pete Prisco has it from "league sources". LOL i hope his source isn't 790 am. |

He's probably so frustrated right now that it didn't even come as a thought. Right now the last thing that I'd be thinking about is how classless I appear. |
