No, the defense was a problem. Any time you give up 31 points(4 TDs) and that's not counting 3 missed FGs, your defense has failed miserably.

IMO, a defensive success against a good offense is holding them to less than 24 points, not counting points given up from INTs or special teams. While our offense didn't help, they scored over 21 points early in the game and did so very quickly... and on explosives plays as well.

I wish we ran a 4-3 that allowed us to blitz a LB every play. And have a Safety like Polamalu that could fill in as a 3rd LB or drop back as a Safety.

Possibly. But I dont know if BVG would be that creative and aggressive.

You know...sometimes a team just has a bad game. It happens. All this nonsense about blowing up the team, changing schemes and firing people is becoming very tiresome.

Anyone remember the Steelers walking into Pittsburgh in 2008? Eagles had NINE sacks and basically squashed the Steelers. Steelers had an AWFUL day that day. They didn't panic, they made some adjustments and went on to a championship. Eagles were 9-6-1 that year and blasted the champions.

People are freaking out over one road loss. You have to relax.

Obviously this Defense is going through growing pains, but it doesn't matter if we are a 3-4, 4-3, or whatever, if we are not scheming for teams individually. With the exception of Philly, we've played almost great defense so far this year. Each year our D gets better and better. You don't scheme LeSean McCoy like you do Peyton Hillis, and maybe I'm wrong, but that's what it looked like Sunday.

I don't see blowing up our D as anyway helping with consistency. We just need to learn to adapt quicker and abandon the gameplan if it's not working. If playing in zone isn't working in the first half, for godsakes change the scheme for the second half.

I'm much more concerned with our Offense only putting up 1 TD a game on crappy teams with injured Ds, than I am our D. The D has been for the most part the only reason we are 4-2 right now.
