gah, it's such a bad song. Sad

I wish they would have just had Sevendust write their own spirit song.

Wasn't that crazy about the video. I hate that stop frame choppy style. Cheerleaders were nice, but would have liked some footage of the team mixed in.

That said, I kinda like the song. I guess it's whatever you're into. It's decent for hard rock fans, I reckon.

Seven. Dust. Interesting.

Hardrock/Metal Fan here

1. Lyrics are corny and predictable as hell.
2. Anyone who uses that many pinch harmonics is either a douche or a Zakk Wylde wanna-be.
3. Music is extremely generic sounding.

Overall, pretty meh.

Me too. I'm more of an old school metal fan, and Judas Priest is probably my favorite metal band, if that tells you anything. This newer style doesn't do much for me, but a JP sounding song woulda been even less "accessible" for the gen pop.

Not even sure what "pinch harmonics" are. That may be the first time I've heard that term. It is kinda generic, but I think that's probably by design.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of it either(song or video).

But... when they put it with highlights, like this:

It's MUCH better.

Pinch harmonics are the "squealies" you hear.

In small doses or used in a creative way, pretty cool. When they become an every third note "filler" noise, it is just flat out annoying.
