Saints CB Gay out for Sunday’s game vs Falcons (Didnt see posted)
METAIRIE, La. (AP)—New Orleans Saints cornerback Randall Gay(notes) will miss Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Coach Sean Payton says Gay, who left the Saints’ victory at San Francisco on Monday night after taking a blow to the head, had an independent medical examination on Thursday and got another on Friday. Payton says Gay was not cleared and will undergo the same procedure next week. Tight end Jeremy Shockey(notes) bruised his quad on Thursday and did not practice, but Payton said he is listed as probable for Sunday’s game. He's not exactly their 1 or 2 but it definitely doesn't hurt us. This is my signature. |

Now if Vilma could just get horrible case of stomach flu around 6am Sunday, I'd be feelin' even mo bettah!
Taints are saying not much of a dropoff here, between Gay and the next guy. But I'll take whatever advantage comes our way for this one. Brent Grimes ~ "I want the ball, man!"

Rookie to watch: First-round pick Patrick Robinson. A talented cornerback, Robinson has been all over the place this summer, with defensive coordinator Gregg Williams once saying he didn't have "any trust" in him. He was inactive last game!

Few key injuries last year was part of the reason for success for the Aints. The magic is gone and so are all those close wins.
