this is the guy I want. Granted he might be more suitable as an end in a 3-4 D, he can certainly be a force in the inside also when not rushing off the edge. A hybrid if you will.

this is my thoughts as well. ok, my next statement is NOT a comparison of players, but a lot of people said Clay Matthews wouldn't fit our system. anyone wanna say now they wouldn't want him on our team? could he be any worse than JA98 or Bierman off the edge??? just sayin

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

Every player we draft should expect to miss games their first year due to some type of injury. I think we need to draft players that heal fast. If this guy doesn't heal fast I don't want him. We basically lose 2 years of quality production because of rookie injuries. Sometimes those injuries reek havoc on their careers. Spoon, Douglas, (Insert DL name here)...

True, but the difference is, Clay Matthews was known to be a beast pass rusher. His ability to play 43DE was the question. Hayward has questions on both points. If he was an unquestioned pass rushing beast(prospect), then I would 100% agree. But he's not. I can't see this guy getting more than 5-7 sacks in any season, even if he maxes out his talents. Don't be "happy" with that just because our pass rush is weak sauce. DE + 1st round = 10+ sacks/year(or be prospected to have that ability at least).

we don't need a hybrid - we have a hybrid - his name is Jamal Anderson........cannot believe you would want a player that does not fit our scheme monoxide.....Heyward is a great player but he is gonna run like a 4.9/40 and he simply cannot play D-End for us......if we draft him, he's a defensive tackle in our scheme.
