27 DE Cameron Heyward Ohio State Sr. 6-5 288
The son of former Falcons running back Craig "Ironhead" Heyward would upgrade an Atlanta defensive line that can't rely forever on John Abraham for all its pass rush. Heyward's standout game in the Sugar Bowl against Arkansas had to put him in Atlanta's line of vision, and the Georgia native can play both inside and outside in a 4-3 defensive formation.

it would be kinda nice to call him the starting LDE for the ATLANTA FALCONS

that is what coach has said he wants from his DE opposite of Abe. Is Kroy playing the wrong side? would he be better from the right instead of the left?

I would absolutely love to get him. Great pedigree, great talent, and a good history with his father (RIP) and this franchise.

You guys realize he's ranked like 6th out of all the DE's & mid 2nd round on the big board?

If he's there at 59, which is highly unlikely, only then would this be possible. We're not picking him at 27th.

Dude is a 34 DE. I don't see him making any impact with us. Not saying he won't be a good player, but he doesn't fit with us. JMHO.

this is my point as well......I have not considered him to date for this very reason. He looks to be ideally suited as a 3-4 DE...

10 sacks in 2 years........slow off the edge - no thanks.....he will be a good NFL player in a 3-4 defense. Bad fit for Falcons defense though - not what we need.
