Ryan Grant out for the year, Dmitri Nance to GB?

The Packers reportedly have plans to sign RB Dimitri Nance off the Falcons' practice squad to take Ryan Grant's roster spot.

Picture a poor man's Jason Snelling. Nance is a bigger back with a nice hands and short-yardage potential. He would function as Brandon Jackson's backup until sixth-rounder James Starks comes off the PUP list at mid-season.

Tough break for the Packers, as Grant is out for the year. Let's hope that bad luck stays far, far away from us.

Wow, terrible loss for GB. I remember how it felt when Turner started getting dinged up. I couldnt imagine losing him in the first week of the season and for the entire year.

Definitely a tough break.

Im kind of surprised Nance is the guy getting a look. I see alot of upside in him but surely theres a more accomplished RB out there they can pickup or trade a late round pick for? It sucks to lose Nance, if it happens, i think he will only get better the more chances he has to play. I really liked him much more than Antone Smith.

once again we will get the wrong end of the stick here. Nance showed ability to have a great potential upside, and should be the 4th RB on this team, not Smith.

GB took a heavy loss with Grant going down, Nance would fit in good there, it's ashamed the Falcons have to lose him

TD makes moves that make little sense and not just sometimes.

Nance will be huge in their passing game with his catch and run ability. You saw what he did with scrubs here, man o man can you imagine him in GB. I hope we don't end up regretting it even more in a few weeks.
