Ross Perot's advise for the Falcons

This is Ross Perot! Y’all remember me don’t you? Well, maybe not you young fellas. Anyhow, I’d like to talk to you about football ‘cause it’s a simple game, simple see? Of course you’ve got to have people who can run, throw and catch but hell, ever body has them. See, the most important part of a football team is the big ‘uns. Told you it was simple!

When your O-line big ‘uns are the best big ‘uns on the field, you can just do whatever you want to. You could have an 800 line and the fans could call the plays cause they would all work.

Now when your D-line big ‘uns are the best big ‘uns on the field the opponent cain’t run and if they throw the secondary ends up with 50 interceptions a year!
The opposing coordinators would be as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs just thinking about facing the Falcons! Simple, see?

Another thing an NFL team needs is a smart owner. Now I could buy a couple of NFL teams if I wanted to but I might end up like Jerry Jones, Owner/GM of the Dallas Cowboys. One thing is obvious about the Cowboys is they have the dumbest GM in the league! And that poor Phillips fella, he looks like he hasn’t been to the men’s room since June.

You need an owner like Arthur Blank! What makes him brilliant is that he doesn’t think he knows everything about football and goes out and gets that fella Dimitroff. After that there has been steady improvement. Now, I’ve got some charts around here someplace that’ll show that.
