RE: Reality Check - Falcons 1-2 record against good teams this year
We've spent good time investing and upgrading our D, and it is paying off, we now need to let gel and marinate. Because for the most part I like what I from that unit. But it is still relatively young and is going to be prone to mistakes/bad days perhaps more than seasoned veteran teams like Baltimore and the Jets D, whose rosters aren't as filled with as much youth at starters as ours.

We now need to do the same to that O. Matt is a great QB there is no doubt about that. For what the offense is he is doing the best he can with what he has got. I have heard some say a good QB can make his offense great. YES I agree, but only when that QB has learned how to do that through having the opportunity to grow and get their own shit sorted out.

I believe that in football you win and lose, and build through the trenches, and lets be honest a lot of our woes originate from the trenches as far as the O is concerned. Last year our D line played awful the whole year, and remember how team would pick us apart. People wonder why we can't get 300 games out of Matt or why we can't put a dominant showing up. It matters not a bit who the QB is, if they have to throw like that all the time they are not going to be able to get a progression from their receiver in their routes to make a break from their coverage.

If this O line blocks and blocks properly, games like today get a lot closer, and we win them and we lose them a lot closer.

The weakest link to the Falcons inconsistent offense is Sam Baker. He needs to be replaced in the offseason. Sam Baker as a left tackle is an experiment that has run its course - the results are in - Sam Baker sucks.

I agree, there is a reason why left tackles come at a high price... and Sam Baker is not it. I thought TD ma have pulled a blinder in that first draft locking down a Franchise QB and LT in one round. However the guy isn't even serviceable. He just seems to be getting worse week in week out

I'm honestly getting tired of seeing Sam Baker get manhandled week in week out. I'm sure he has some good plays, but it seems like every time we have a bad play on offense, Baker's man beat him like he stole something.

Well to be fair they were in 3 of the 5 toughest places to play in football against great home teams. The chances of your team going 3-0 in those stadiums against those teams aren't good.

That said if our O shows up were 3-0 in our Pennsylvania games.
