its not the size of the program, its the quality of the team UAB is pretty good troy not so much(and yea i did see troy play last year)

and yea i do want a WR from a smaller program but not at 27. Young should still be there in the second.

True, and nobody is doubting that the SEC produces serious talent. I am just using it to illustrate the point that where someone plays is a lot less important than their athleticism, intelligence and work ethic.

If a small school WR has all of the above, bring him in.

The only time I ever diagreed was when we selected Meangelo Hall in the first round. watched the kid play all year and was pretty sure I would end up hating the pick.. In the end I was absolutly right.... Much like when we played in the super bowl. Beer cans and chairs flying across the room.. just not a great day... lmao.

Rise Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and trust me I'm 100% ACC so im defiantly not urging a sec receiver

however..... Torrey Smith, Leonard Hankerson, and Greg Little are all ACC WR's id be happy with.

or even Titus Young from Boise st.

I know Jerrel is the 3rd WR in the draft but its easy to look better than you are when you play who troy plays.

...and come on guys saying that Roddy is good so therefore all WR's from small schools are good... is well kinda dumb. I'm a HUGE HUGE HUGE Roddy White fan don't get me wrong, but lets also not forget when he first got here he was terrible, and it took him a few years to develop into an elite receiver.

so buy yalls logic UAB receiver elite = Troy receiver elite
but..... UAB receiver took 3 years to develop = Troy receiver takes 3 years to develop. hardly adds immediate help

RE: Rapid Reports
The point isn't that because Roddy is good, a Troy WR will be good. The point is that just because they come from a smaller school or a weaker division, does NOT mean they cannot be immediate impact players or even good at all.

ok I understand that you don't have to be from a big school to be good.
Two of my favorite falcons are from small schools, however neither were immediate impact players White was average at best for 3 years and grimes got shipped off to NFLeurope. I just don't see a small school player making a huge IMMEDIATE impact. Maybe in a few years he will be elite.
It just seems that because Roddy is a top 5 receiver now that people have completely forgotten the early years of wide open drops and blown routes.
YES Roddy White is one of the games best, but he hasn't always been.

RE: Rapid Reports
The fact he was mediocre/bad early on stems more from his lack of work ethic more than the change in competition. You look at a guy like Greg Jennings, dude came from Western Michigan and has been pretty good to great from the start.

Randy Moss came from Marshall, TO came from TN-Chat, Isaac Bruce from Memphis, Jerry Rice from Mississippi Valley State, etc.

Not saying that every small school talent is one of those guys, but an immediate impact WR is hardly found from any school at any level. They are pretty hard to find to begin with, and ruling someone out simply because he didn't play in the SEC/ACC/etc. is just wrong.
