Surely this has been mentioned somewhere in 100 posts but just in case the Patriots look pretty smart picking up Moss for a 4th round, getting good used out of him for 3 years, then getting a 3rd rounder out of him.

Trade being discussed (See here)
Interesting. I'm sure that if the Chargers went to Jackson and said, "Look, we are going to trade you to the Patriots if you sign this deal." he would sign the contract. I mean, they aren't going to stone cold bone him. They probably won't give him as much as he wants, but all he has to do is sign a real short contract, then he's out of there and put immediately on a better team. It's a win/win situation in my eyes!

I'm not reading anything in this topic, but knowing Falcons fans, there are posters in here trying to assert Randy Moss wouldn't be an upgrade for our offense.

Yeah, there are a couple. It's kind of funny. Randy Moss would be an upgrade. And I know I will get bashed for saying this, but hear me out a little. Roddy White stretches the field, don't get me wrong. But it's pretty hard to believe that he would stretch the field anywhere near the way that Randy Moss can. It's hard to believe because I know, I see it, Roddy doesn't stretch the field all that much. He's an amazing receiver, but he's not really a deep threat like Randy Moss. Moss would be an upgrade to any offensive roster in the NFL right now. Even to the Bengals who already have T.O. and Ocho.

What has Moss done in his career? Get traded from three different teams because he was a locker room cancer. Without Chemistry you have no championship. Don't want him. |

8 picks in the 2011 draft (possibly 6 or 7 in the top 100) or enough to trade for Vincent Jackson if they feel they can contend. They got every drop they could out of Moss and decided they could get awesome value by fading him to the Vikes. Really savvy move by the Pats.

Roddy and Jenkins both can stretch the field. Matt and the both of them just need to start making connections when they do it. Btw, no knock against Moss. I just don't see the point in breaking the bank on him, and really all of that talk is moot anyway. Atlanta was likely never in the discussion. Brent Grimes ~ "I want the ball, man!"
