Random-assed shit, a Story, and the Truth
Did we blow the dome up last night?
I can't do anything but smile and sigh contentedly when I think about it. I guess the Ravens Defense must not be that good or something. Random Thoughts: This is the toughest fourth quarter team we have ever had in my opinion. It ain't banging on all cylinders yet and I don't want to take anything away from Coach Reeves, but I like me some Smitty. Roddy White is Legendary as far as I am concerned. I have loved a lot of Falcon receivers but this guy is in a league of his own. And Matt Ryan...Can we just go ahead and say he is a pretty darn good football player and a leader of men? That's rhetorical. Last night I felt sure we would win with 1:05 left. I just had the most insane and crazy confidence. I just know that Matt thinks they can still win the game if there are seconds on the clock. The dude is crazy! And I mean crazy like a fox. And the team believes it too. Quick Story: This morning (noon) I went over to Cracker Barrel (ding) to get breakfast and while we were eating my son sitting across from me said "that guy behind you looks like one of our falcons". I looked around and said "yea that's Ovie Mugheli". We finished and got up and he was getting ready to get up when we walked by. I started to just walk on so as not to bother him, but I saw he was done and getting ready to go so I stopped and said "Awesome game last night man" He grinned big as day and we exchanged a little fist bump. Just so he would know that I knew who he was I said "If there is a better Full-Back in the NFL I haven't heard of him." He smiled and immediately starts saying how glad he was that they(the team) picked Matt three years ago. The Truth as I have grasped it: It's real folks. I know you are scared. It is totally new territory after the Promise and then the Dark Years. But Rome was not built in a day and neither is a long-term, classy, competitive, winning NFL franchise. Remember: Smitty says " Things are usually never as bad or good as they seem". Well this might not be the greatest shit that ever happened in the history of the league or nothing, but it is still OFF THE CHAIN! And we (the Team--I just screamed myself hoarse and agonized over it) Earned it! EFF anyone who says different. Oh...and welcome back from the dark side.

When the Ravens went ahead with 1:05 left in the game I told some Ravens fans sitting near me that they left too much time on the clock and we would win. I truly believed that. Tandy and her husband was sitting behind me and she was saying the same thing. Funny after the game we have witnessed this year we have the ultimate confidence we would snatch victory out of the jaws of defeat. Another thing is the confidence we have in Matt Bryant that we would have at least salvaged a game winning field goal had we not got a TD. ![]() Thanks to Slick Nick for my sig! |

Fantastic post! Awesome that you saw Ovie! I never have luck like that lol.
And yeah I completely agree. This is real, but it just seems scary to believe. I try not to raise my expectations too high, but right now they know no limit. Also last night I screamed myself hoarse lol. Couldn't talk for hours. |

RE: Random-assed shit, a Story, and the Truth
Awesome story man!
I had about 10 ravens fan seating behind me last night. They were quiet as hell up until that last few minutes. After they score, the Ravens celebrate. I stood up and say, You know there's 105 left on the clock and we still got a time out right??? All of them look at me and cracked up. But ONE OF THEM didnt go on, he stood there like a thunder stroke him. I could've tell there was some fear in his eye, but he just wont say it out loud.. So we went on and score, Us fan jumped up and down.. That same guy pad my shoulder and said "Matt did it, Good game guys".. I shook his hand and said "I see you at the Superbowl" lol Didnt know who he was, but seems like that Ravens fan done his Homework before going to the game.

Ovie is a beast of a FB, that is for sure.
I'll just say this... After the Bears game of 08, any 4th qtr comeback is possible.
