Dude, you are completely missing the point. I'm not gonna sit here and start name calling. What you said made zero sense. You just suffer from a lack of reading comprehension IMO. I think what you believe is that its ok to kill a deer for the hell of it, and its ok to take a horse out of its environment and train (and sometimes abuse) it just to make money for you. If you think that's perfectly fine then so be it. We are just on two different moral pages.

Yeah your morals are in order as you set here and try to justify what Vick did. My home town is corrupted with dog fighting (google Shane Courtney Beckville, TX) and those bastards are getting theirs. If you go out and kill a deer, during deer season, legally, with a tag...the law says you can and quite frankly it is a necessary evil. You trying to put legal hunters in the same light as Vick is losing battle for you.

Now to the trainers that abuse their animals they are in the same light as Vick and they have a nice place in hell reserved for them and with any luck a nice place in the jail as well.

I used to work for a company in my hometown and my boss, the owner, fought dogs - he has since been caught and I think that's great, I hope he loses it all, because I quit the first time he told me to go get the trash out of his trees and I saw it wasn't toilet paper, it was pitbulls, I then turned him into the humane society.....

You need to stop trying to defend Vick because you look more and more foolish every time you do. What Vick did is in line with people that beat their kids.

We don't do that here. Like you, I hated this topic and closed it. The somebody asked me to reopen it saying that people could discuss it civily.

I should not have listened to that person, but I did. But I specifically told people not to name call in this thread, so now I have to or I'm not a man of my word.

the only people worse than the ones who dont think what vick did was wrong are the ones who think sport hunting or fishing is any better. population control my ass. nobody hunts because they are trying to do their duties to keep deer population down. its for the thrill of the hunt. why do you hang a deers head over your fireplace? so you can point at it and tell people "thats a car on the road that didnt get totalled because i did my job as an overpopulation enforcer."? what about the other animals that are hunted? ducks birds squirrels rabbits bears moose lions elephants etc.... its for the sport quit lying. youre no better than vick just because you can get a license from the state to do it.

I don't get involved in the moral discussion involving hunting much, mostly because I just really don't care, but I have had this conversation with more than one hunter.

Hunter - Yeah we need to hunt the deer to make sure we don't have an overpopulation problem.

Peyton - Cool......so........when was the last time you went hunting.

Hunter - Last weekend.......me and Junior went out and we spent 18 hours in the hunting stand.

Peyton - Excellent, so how many did you get?

Hunter - Nah, we didn't see any.

So..........irony.

That being said, there are tons of deer in my neighborhood, probably see 10 or 20 per week.

Really sucks that people couldn't discuss this civilly. I think whoever it was that resorted to name calling read the 1st post and responded without reading the whole thread first (hence why it looks like he ignored your warning).

I also think some people are missing the point of the OP.

That being said... I sometimes leave my house around 3:30 am for work, and on certain roads have to literally drive 10-15 miles an hour with my bright lights on to avoid hitting a deer. And this is within 15 miles of downtown Atlanta.

my sister just annihalated a cadillac with 12 point buck 2 days ago in southwest ohio. ohio state highway patrolmen said it was the biggest deer theyd ever seen hit on the highway and its pretty common around here.
