you didn't write the article

Defense tightens up come playoff time ( outside ours)
Colder weather outside / by far less ideal throwing conditions
Playoff games are more close to the vest with here or there shot deep .

--------------------------------

I also would like to see last years as well ..
it's probably out on the interwebzzz somewhere, but this article clearly said "2010" they're talking about this past year, why would they include the previous year when they clearly say they're just looking at this one?

Brady was without Moss , im sure that hurt his deep completions this year
and Manning was without Clark and playing with 3rd string wrs .

and Ryan was stuck with Jenkins who tho having a decent year, has a career of inconsistancy as an actual receiving receiver; HD who was in the first year of coming back from a surgery that the general consensus takes two years to FULLY recover from, an aging TG who we saw drop more passes than ever before in his career, a guy in Finn who has been a great possession receiver through the years for us, but has never been considered a deep threat, and then ONE real downfield threat who was consistantly double covered yet still put up THE numbers and made the probowl....

If the conclusion of these stats is that Ryan is equal to Manning & Brady as a deep thrower then I would disagree .

you didn't have to tell us that, we all know you hate Ryan and go miles and miles out of your way to put up anything negative about him, or skew whatever you can find any way you need to, to portray him negatively. there was nothing said in any of the article that made any conclusions that i read

as already said, the numbers are the numbers
you are almost hilarious the way you go out of your way to try to stir up stuff....

Chew on THAT, Petunia!

He just has to get his depth perception down, then he'll start dropping those bombs in the basket

RE: ProFootballFocus - Going Deep
Manning had a bad year last year, and Brady didn't have a hall of fame deep threat to throw to, neither do we...it's silly to make excuses for others, but bash people when they make excuses for Ryan.

People think that the only way to throw deep is Madden style, drop back 10 yards and throw a frozen rope 60 yards down the field in half a second. If you put any air under it, it is ONLY because you don't have the arm to make it worm-burn across the field.

And, unlike the naysayers, he actually demonstrated it with video and honest football discussion.

People who say Matt Ryan has a weak arm are just stupid. Sorry to put it bluntly, but there it is.

If you double Matt Ryan comp and pass attempts , it will still be short of the production of Aaron Rodgers . Aaron Rodgers also threw 100 less pass attempts then Ryan all year so factor that in .

Besides your constant man love for aaron rodgers you are correct in some aspect. Now the aaron rodgers comparison is irrelevant to matt ryans skill with the long ball.

But if anybody can't see that matt ryan needs to vastly improve on his deep ball, then they are just being homers.
