Nolan does not throw the house at teams who don't warrant it. It something I've been able to call week I and out based on the opponent the quarterback and their personnel and I've been right every week.

There is no point in having your team a bunch of shit your opponent doesn't pay attention to. You are better off staying in position and executing.

As far as the Offense was concerned. The first few weeks they went at it like a race horse out of the gate. Then they slowed up and had a different more sustainable rhythm through the bulk of the season.

But Carolina outstanding because they stank up the place. Since the NO game the rhythm has been faster more aggressive more punishing as it was in the opening weeks. A lot more of our scheme has emerged in the last 2 games than most of this season. A wide variety of screen plays, different down field shots including from a 22 grouping on a down we would normally run or pass short too. The fact that they are usin some this stuff now tells me that there is even more of it. And more wrinkles to come of what we have seen.

So go on and call us vanilla. Vanilla had us one score away from beating you in the Benz, and it had us beat the breaks off you the Giants and the Lions.

I'm not being cocky and anointing my team with anything. What they want they will have to earn. But let's be clear this team is showing up and they are playing ball.

Hopefully they play well and hard enough to play one more game in the Mercedes Benz Dome than your precious Saints do this year.
