For real. It's almost as hard to get into Princeton. Not a strong point of argument.

The point is that the third leading rusher in U.S. high school history (playing at a California high school) should have gotten D-1 offers from quite a number of schools to play RB....not just Stanford. I did love watching Pete Carroll's face last year as Gerhart ripped big run after big run against USC, ruining their season. USC's defense knew the ball was going to Gerhart in a one back set and still couldn't stop him. LOL. Petey must have been wondering "tell me again why we told this kid he couldn't run the ball in D-1?"

He came out of college a few years back.....Eric Weddle.....but the Chargers moved him to safety. The dude held Calvin Johnson to two catches and nineteen yards in the Emerald Bowl....

As a self-loathing white guy, this fills me with pride.

Crackers unite! (And yes...only WE can call each other that).

Its good to see a white guy succeed at positions normally dominated by black guys - and vice versa. They dont come around often.

RE: Peyton Hillis set to become first white RB in a generation to go for 1000 yards
I love the fact a white RB is having a great year like Hillis. I was discriminated against as a white player in my high school by my black head coach who literally would not let any white kids play on the team. The only reason he kept his job was due to our success under him but he was finally forced to "retire" because the year after I graduated the school was going to get sued for discrimination. I had to wait to play Division II college basketball in order to play and I was the starting point guard after earning it as a walk on. My coaches and teammates couldn't believe I had no high school experience because of how good I was.

So yeah, I definitely know what its like to be discriminated against as a white athlete. I think there is nothing wrong whatsoever to cheer for a player because he is the same race as you. Black people cheered for Warren Moon (and I did too) for breaking the black QB stereotype, I hope Hillis shatters the white RB myth.

Great post KB56. Hillis was 21 rushes for 108 yards today in the Browns loss. Good lord, Jake Delhomme and the rest of the Browns offense is horrible. They could really use Colt McCoy to get healthy.
