People seem to forget stuff
I see a lot of comparisons between this team and the 2010 Falcons who had their butts handed to them.....not necessarily here on this board but on other sites.....
The truth is we ended the Season on a 31-10 drumming of the Panthers....we had beaten GB in the regular Season and we had gotten the Number one seed and I think our heads swelled a bit....Smitty gave the team some extended time off and then that snow storm screwed up the practice schedule (GB stayed home until just a couple of days before so they had good practice time and had a game the previous week) The year we ran into the NYG....we hit them when they were on a roll (some could say that about Seattle - But other than a big win over SF - who did they really play....) Our best games have come against some of the leagues elite QBs - eveyone says our Schedule was SO Easy..... statistically maybe....but let's take a long hard look at that....the Saints started off in a HUGE hole, as did the Panthers and Bucs.....All three picked up in the middle of the season with the Panthers being the latest blooming but also one of the most injured) - So let's see........ I mean who would you rather play twice a year (ARZ, STL, SF) or (TB, CAR, NO) I don't care what the records say...we get the tougher draw there. I also find this humorous...SF all season long ever third game was a stinker. WWL WWL WWT WWL W So they are due for a W against GB and a L in the NFC championship game..... This year is different....We are coming off a loss (that we kept our starters in....I think those vets have some serious pride to defend).....and are hungrier than a cocky SEA team that thinks and are hearing they are the hottest thing since sliced bread.....(we saw what happened when NYG came in thinking they would manhandle us) We haven't loss two in a row all year and SEA is currently on their longest winning streak of the year. Up until week 10 the most wins they had in a row was 2....count them 2! Their road wins were @ CAR (beginning of the Season) @ CHI (where Bears Defense was ailing badly that week) and @ BUF (duh.....) This Sunday is ours.....on a sidenote....nothing like traveling across country and playing a game that would be held at 10 am on the west coast.....(you tend to stay up later during that 3 hour change....and it affects your morning....) Wonder about that miami game and if it was a 1 pm game? Tired of the doubters.....we need to run the score up and put our foot on Seattle's throat and not let up until we here the final gun.....I am looking forward to a game that isn't even close....so tired of hearing how Roddy and JJ will be shut down, how Gonzalez will be a non-factor....and how we couldn't run on them is we tried......Grrr my blood is boiling.....I am ready to see our team soar....for the next 3 games...... |
