Another clear indicator that the people who vote on these awards aren't really watching the games.

Ryan has been very good, but c'mon, it's obvious that Roddy White is the MVP of the team, and probably the league up to this point.

i think its close between roddy and clay matthews. if vick continues on his pace it wont matter that he missed 4 games he will get it hands down.

How can Mike Vick be in any race knowing the MVP? He's been playing great but he hasn't even played in every game this season.

if he continues at his current pace he will have somewhere around 40 tds and nearly 4000 yards of offense with 0 turnovers. thats a hell of a season for someone playing 16 games.

not saying he will but if that were the case you couldnt deny him. and thats not considering the fact that he just got out of prison and the whole world thought he would never even play again let alone play like he has. mvp is very possible.

I think it's because Ryan still makes the throws and gets the yardage even when Roddy doesn't have a big game. Yes, we have some games where Roddy is half of our offense, but others where Ryan throws it to 5+ other targets. Roddy got some votes, but a QB just does so much more that they will likely get the votes.

I agree with you.....well I don't agree with your math....I don't know how you are figuring his current pace....but I agree with your point.

Except for he isn't going to continue at his current pace.

While there isn't a huge difference between teams in this league, last week Vick played the #32 defense in the league. This week he plays number 1, and he has to play them again later.

Let's see what the difference is.

I agree that the QBs will always get the votes. I just think this team could survive with Redman at QB, but not without Roddy. I think this team is probably 3-6 without Roddy White.

I said the same damn thing before the 08 draft. Clearly, Roddy stepping up has been integral to our offense performing the way it has.

it would be nice to see roddy be the first wr in nfl history to win the mvp but i dont see it happening unless he averages 150 ypg and 2 tds per game from here on out.

If he averages 131 yards and a TD per game I think he'd have a real shot.

I picked 131 yards because that is what he needs to break Jerry Rice's NFL single season receiving yard total.

If White would do that, it would stand out a bit more than when Jerry did it, because in 1995, there were also 3 other receivers that posted top 5 of all time yardage totals - Bruce, Herman Moore, and Michael Irvin.
