PASSER/RECEIVER ANALYSIS

RE: PASSER/RECEIVER ANALYSIS
Good grief our pass protection is really bad!

If we could get Matt Ryan 3 seconds per pass average, we'd have an unstoppable offense.

RE: PASSER/RECEIVER ANALYSIS
Smh @ your ability to do that..... wow!

I need to read it a few times before I can even begin to comment on it intelligently, and even then.... the odds aren't in my favor. Tongue

Btw, PLEASE do this upcoming Saints game for the red stats if you can. I know you're going to the game, least I thought I read that. So, no worries if there's no time. I'd much rather you enjoy the Falcons' win in the Pooperdome!

RE: PASSER/RECEIVER ANALYSIS
During Ryan's first year, I put the clock on a lot of Ryan's throws and was amazed how rarely the ball was still in his hand at three seconds. Almost never happened. It SEEMED like there were more plays in which he held the ball longer last year. And the sacks were up.

At some point I put the clock on Vick and he was always holding the ball past 3 seconds. . . . which is why his sacks were so damn high despite his speed.

A good line will make a good qb. But a good qb will also make a good line.

RE: PASSER/RECEIVER ANALYSIS
Unbelievable. Wow!

I did actually look at those stats, it it appears that our passing game is very solid.
I'm shocked to see such a low completion rate for Roddy though. However, there were many different circumstances to warrant many of those incompletions.

Weems looks good and HD looks like the goto guy to get a first down.

Tandy, that post just enlightens our passing game understanding.

Someone needs to send this shit to Lombardi at the NFL network.

Tell him shut your pie hole.

Yeah Lombardi is a bit worthless, have to agree there.

RE: PASSER/RECEIVER ANALYSIS
It doesn't take stats to know that giving a QB time to throw the ball results in success....

But thanks for proving it Tandy! You're Amazing!

We have to learn to hold protection for the deep ball to develop. People complaining about that aspect of our game have to see that the problem lies in the line, not the QB. Smith commented on the line already, so I have no doubt we will grow and adjust to have a complete passing game.

Jenkins coming back, much as some complain, will help the vertical game as well.

RE: PASSER/RECEIVER ANALYSIS
I must say that the analysis done in this thread is nothing short of outstanding. Even if I would have ever thought of doing something like this, I would've never actually gone through with it for lack of motivation. I applaud you, Tandy, for this interesting little piece.

This is my signature.
