Ovie!

Ovie!
Well,...I was wrong about another player. Ovie Mughelli is a beast. So I'll educate Seahawks fans about one of the players contributing their demise Sunday.

There was a time when I complained in a Falcons fans inner circle that Ovie is good but overpaid and somewhat of a waste of a roster spot. My reasoning was mainly play calling. In 2008 and '09 and into this season too we've seen lots of empty backfields and one back sets putting the highest paid FB in the NFL on the sideline.

So far this season things have changed for Ovie,...two things.

Checking back at some games from 2008 one thing stuck out big time. Ovie was much heavier back then than he is now. Looks like he's trimmed off some 8 to 10 pounds regardless what's listed on the roster @ AF.com.

Then there's losing players to injury this season that changes the offense. The loss of Norwood and recently Snelling forced Mularkey to place the load on Turner. And those injuries opened the door for Mughelli getting more touches especially him receiving passes. Ovie has made some crucial receptions in games against big time teams,...the Ravens, Packers, although he did drop a perfect pass last Sunday in Charlotte.

The best thing about Ovie is his devastating blocking, especially pass blocking. Ovie is playing like he did in his early days.

Okay then,...people complain about the play calling a lot and they now have a legit beef maybe. Has Mularkey been a little neglet in not getting this guy more touches the last 2.75 seasons? There's only so many snaps in a game, but. Mularkey appears to be gone anyway, especially if the Falcons make it to Dallas.

Think I'll start complaining about Jamaal Anderson so his game will pick up.

RE: Ovie!
Ovie is a bear. Opens up those holes and has soft hands. He plays his position pefectly, because he definitely has a fullback.

RE: Ovie!
I am a massive fan of Ovie I love a fullback that it there to inflict pain... he is key to our offense with a big bruising backs in Turner and Snelling, it's rough that you have to deal with Ovie running into you all day before you get a chance for Turner to run you over....

I don't get the Gay jokes also

all I know when he is in there and Turner is behind him I know if it is a run it will be successful...

Haven't noticed him in the pass protection but that could be because he is doing his job...

The one I did notice was Turner's block on Ray Lewis that was sick...

Because he plays for the Falcons.

I don't think we have anyone making the starting roster this year and we have the best record in the NFL.
